Guardian-Vexor, Why do you taunt me so?

--Guardian-Vexor--

Why do you taunt me so?

5 High, 4 Mid, and 5 Low?

Has Drone for days,

and attacks in ways,

that only a Vexor could know.

Imo, by far the sickest ship in all of EVE. I dream about it, literally. I started playing EVE only a year and a half ago, after these had become history. Drones are my passion in EVE Online, and there is no such thing as too many.

If, CCP would be as so kind, please consider the aspect of a new sub-capital Gallente ship capable of putting more than 5 drones in space.

Or bring back the Guardian-Vexor.

Or make a Guardian-Tristan.

Or a new subsystem fitting for the Proteus that would allow this.

Or just give me a Guardian-Vexor. ;)

I believe there is one in game.....the owner is known for collecting rare and difficult to find ships and mods.

owning one of these would be the equivalent to owning the Mona Lisa or the declaration of independence.

There are ways to obtain crazy awesome ships.....winning the alliance tournament.

Although undocking in them is Ill-advised as they make really awesome km's.

NO! I DONT CARY ABOUT CRAZY AWESOME SHIPS... I am QQ specifically about the Guardian-Vexor, in all its drone related glory. lol

On a serious note however, I really would like to see extra drone deployment in a new ship. If I had a Guardian-Vexor, I think i'd develop schizophrenia or something terrible very quickly from waging war in my head about trying to undock.

I'd want to have my cake and eat it too, therefore, a new ship is in order. That I don't have to win....I don't win things. lol.

Recently checked Guardian-Vexor in market window and noticed that CCP has updated its model. Looks really good now.
Guess some of them still exist... Can't be sure though.

That gives me an idea for an interesting mechanic to be added to the game.

HEY!!! CCP, you know those agents you pay to find people? I need one to find items. Or one that tells me how many of something there are. et cetera.

That would be bomb. And seems like a logical addition to the game.

An Archon or Thanatos will satiate all your lustful drone-full desires.........good luck with D-Scan.

problem with a guardian vexor is once you undock it your the main target for anyone who realises what your flying....

this seems to be the way with the rare/limited ships...

There are still quite a few but too fancy to every undock. Clearly.

But the main problem they brought the amount of drones per ship down and the amount of drones you can assign/assist on someone else down is because CCP knows the drones code is old and slow garbage (but at least it works)

It lags out the server and hurts the game overal if too many get on grid in the same place or server wide.

The code will one day get fixed (not soon since its not officially broken) and ships which can use more drones again will come back.

But I'd say Xmas 2020 at best at this point.

Back in the day the Guardian Vexor was just a Vexor with an alternative paint job released in some event. All drone ships back then used to have a bonus for drone amount, rather than drone damage. CCP changed it in order to reduce lag caused by having huge amount of drones in space (Dominixes used to be able to have 20 or 25 drones active at once, IIRC).

Considering how powerful drones are, it's probably a good thing they went that way. Imagine an Ishtar with 20 sentry drones.

I really missed out. And its a bummer too, because I never could figure out how I didn't hear about this game til 2014.

Back then drones were less powerful, this was mostly due to Drone interfacing which back then allowed for more active drones and they simply changed it to making drones do more damage (hence the name not making much sense given the current bonus). Couple of years ago they went for 20 bil and you couldn't undock with one, not on TQ anyway. Just forget it exists.

GV's most certainly do still exist. I have one in my hangar. Should be a few more out there amogst the older pilots.

If you find someone willing to sell though, it won't be cheap.

And it's lovely with that many mining drones swarming around you Lol

Do you ever get the urge to double wrap a ship like that and then fly around lolling at gankers going "if only you knew"?

the dps of drones would be the same because instead of damage/hp bonus you would have a active drones bonus.
aside the lag with more but weaker drone there would be more drone to shot down but with way less hp, and much less spare drones and ofc 1 wave of drones would be much more expensive.
it would be a nerf overall to all ships that can carry drones

would probably be more balanced that way given they wouldn't have a damage or hp bonus. launch a few bombs, or use a few disco bs, and take out a whole fleet's damage.

not to mention I don't think an ishtar could carry 20 sentries, although I'm not sure how they used to balance that part of it.
