Indeed, July 6th was not a good day for Treasure Hunter Enterprises

I'm not too familiar with drifter business. What do people engage them for, again?

CCP is replacing players with player-like drifters. The drifters are a simulation of what a new player using the new Jovian race. Now they just finished training propulsion jamming. Think about it. Apollo Tyrannos suddenly show up in WTFPWN battleships is like the uninformed "I level my raven" highsec player armed with "mommy seagull's credit card to buy tons of plex so I can bling my fit with officer mods" who went straight into a battleship now shooting stuff he doesn't even know. how to use properly.

Now he finished training propulsion jamming I so now he can fit points now that he has leveled his Jovian Battleship to V. Also the Jove observatories are unfueled jove poses that went offline because our intrepid Apollo Tyrannos doesn't know about POSes and fuels.

Yes, there are some nice kills appearing there.

There was one posted to r/eve a couple of days ago involving a boosting orca being killed in highsec (pilot: Xynth Xavier).

Vigiliant Tyrannos is a ganker not subject to CONCORD.

I hope it continues to develop so that none of us are safe no matter where we are.

They always had a 100% chance to warp disrupt. The behaviour settings changed it so they only did when doomsdaying. Obviously, with CCP's apparently new behaviour settings, they can modify the conditions for all the things.

I knew this was coming as soon as they first hit Tranquility.

Stasis webifying, energy neutralising; they also have the ability to repair 10,000 Armor HP every second. I'm waiting for the day when that doesn't just happen when you break the overshield.

Can't wait till they adapt to reinforcing POSes, and then coming back to nuke it down after the timer.

Drifters are CCP's answer to the game being won by goons.....the game is going to be won by drifters (NPC for the win). You note that all their ships and drones have entosis links fitted, so sov grab wont be a problemP

Cuz EVERY other aspect of PvE is this game is mindnumbly boring.

Seriously this is ZERO reason for the drifters or to worry abiut them.

GUYS just right click one and select HIDE FROM OVERVIEW.

Boom! Never worry about/see/think about circandian seeekers kr drifters ever again.

Glad you saved the Phoon, it's gonna be worth it when the missile tracking computers and scripts are actually available...ahemRoll

We've been trading blows with our new visitors since the first seekers appeared. Every patch adds something new, something to be discovered and adapted to. Lost some tricked out fits to them already, but we have done ok.

I must say that I had yet to see any NPC do a POS bash until the last patch. They even waited until after I logged to reinforce my tower. Yes they kill towers.

Good luck with them! Maybe this patch you might even get a GF in localBlink

Do they target you if you're in their range too long? Have they shown up at Jita 4-4 yet?

No they ONLY ATTACK you if you agress them/have aggressed them.

Hense it is trival spacefluff background content. Not even content.
There is seriously ZERO reason to try to kill them.

Just turn then off the overview and forget about them forever.

They are pointless

They're strictly "Return Fire Only" at the moment, unless you happen to encroach one of their observatories, that is -- they don't seem to be too tickled at the idea of someone floating about their POS-wannabie structures.

"Tomahawks?"

"----in' A, right?"

"Trouble is, those things cost like a million and a half each."

"----, you pay me half that and I'll hump in some c4 and blow the ---- out of it my own damn self."

Drifter aggression usually entails:

Being on grid for more than 60 seconds with negative standings
Navigating within 10,000m of a Jove Observatory or Unidentified Wormhole, or inside a complex within an Unidentified Wormhole
Drifters being spawned as reinforcements

There is no automatic aggression for neutrals in normal space.
