alternatively blitz the missions so fast that the storyline agents you don't want to work for offer you a mission, and then the ones you do want missions from offer you the next mission. run whatever missions you want to at your leisure, and let the others expire. I think I maxed out at 9 or so storylines offered. Of course this helps to live in an area with a lot of storyline agents so you don't have to go 100 jumps to do them (if you get one you do want to run)

ex. in haatomo there are 3 caldari storyline agents, one is Caldari navy 2 are propel dynamics. if you are trying to get CN standings for trading just ignore the propel dynamics storylines and run the caldari navy ones.
