The reduced Drifter presence in Amarr is most likely due to our interference during Operation Trireme.

It clearly triggered other behaviours, so maybe it "reset" them...?

Um....
Did "shooting at towers" stop being a synonym for "grinding tedium" at some point?

Not really, the point of the statement seems to be far more about phallic humour, than the practicality of it all.

Hurrr, "rods".

I'm bored! So there! Even you would be bored if you are stuck with the tedium of whacking a malfunctioning pump with a spanner every 30 minutes waiting for replacement parts that seemed to have disappeared from the space-time continuum.

A Minmatar warship is like a rusting Beetle with 500 horsepower Cardillac engines in the rear, armour plating bolted to chassis and a M2 Browning stuck on top.

I'm not sure our opinions coincide on the specifics, but I have to put it to the galactic community that Valerie Valate is right in this specific instance. There are precious few problems in the world that can't be solved by building a giant laser.

Material shortages? Well, build a giant laser to extract them.

Unemployment? Duh, employ people to build a giant laser.

Need to test a new alloy? Fire a giant laser at it. Did it melt? Well clearly it isn't good enough.

Drifters wrecking your fleet? Clearly you need a giant laser.

Oh, but I hear you say, what if the problem is that I have too many giant lasers? Well then, dummy, you need to build a gianter laser to melt all of your other less giant lasers.

Giant lasers solve everything.

I now feel an irresistible urge to order a giant laser...
