The transformation of highsec is not over, don't shed all your tears just yet. You will need them for many years to come.

Heh, that will never happen. I have well over 135 mil skillpoints and plenty of ISK.

Green safety is irrelevant because tricking newbies into flagging is ganking without losing your ship.

Crimewatch allows for victims to fight back so of course you hate it.

duels allows for more pvp

You know instead of wardecing a bunch of newbie corps you could try to actually wardec a corp that has assets to defend? I know it's so much easier to just kill newbies but if you're going to complain about wardodging you could at least put a little effort into choosing your targets.

"Anti-Corp Agression Switch" wut?

Wow really warp to 0? lol

Sure they buffed the ability of exhumers and barges to tank but they also buffed the catalyst greatly which is an uber cheap ganking BEAST. They also handed you the talos and the nado for those situations where the catalyst isn't as effective. Hell even the thrasher is a beast of a shuttle/pod popper post changes. Not even getting into how effective vexors can be.

I see can flipping almost daily. Could you at least keep your list somewhat grounded in reality? or are you complaining that you can't can bait in rookie systems anymore?

Wait you're complaining about the lack of pvp while also saying that global suspect flags which increases your odds of pvp actually killed pvp? Wut?

It's obvious when you say pvp you mean griefing or ganking newbies. That was abundantly clear when you complained about changes that allowed your victim to fight back.

I don't have any sympathy for a seal clubber.

Go read minerbumping.com from like yesterday or day before. Code is top isk kills for month of june. Highest ever by alliance in history of eve.

So yeah theyre still up on the scoreboard by like 9001-1.

Grats

The fact that ganking is now the top "payday" and "pvp" style shows how indicative of the fall from grace that Eve pvp is these days. When its easier to gank, safer, more profitable than to actually fight it is scrapping the bottom of the barrel of the pvp gene pool.

Thats sad as I have ganked personally, as well as have ganking toons. I loved the ideas of Eve piracy. I had toons I used to haul zydrine through mara with that got splatted by M0o. Ive lived in low, ransomed and ganked and did all that. But this new breed in eve is to me what the self entitled whine bears of this current generation is in RL just in game. Alas things change, I can accept that and understand that, but what its being replaced with is still stupid.

Piracy is fine. It has its place. But to be all pervasive imo is a horrible thing for the state of the health of the game. And the idea that more things need to be destroyed imo doesnt hold up. If that were the case CCP should look into its own drop rate tables for things dying rather than just wealth relocation through tears.

Don't be a terrible lazy player that expects CCP to hand you tasty moron killmails on a silver platter.

Suspect baiting will get you fights pretty frequently. Proper wardec target selection and then bringing out something they will actually engage, will get you fights. Assisting people that have been decced by mercs or CODE will get you fights.

These things won't get you easy ganks or guaranteed killmails. If that's what you want a single player game may be more to your liking.

Yeah, hunting down catalysts using instants and tacticals is going to be so entertaining. Admittedly there are a few people who actually do know how to stop ganks, but bounty wise its sorta meh - gankers aren't going to lose things they already haven't resigned to losing to CONCORD. Even if you blow them up, its trivial for them to reship and gank again - stations have hundreds of catalysts, brutix, talos, etc in them.

Bounty Hunting career - Obviously you missed the part about being able to hunt down players in high security who have negative security status. It's not about collecting a Bounty on them, it's all about collecting Killmails on them and at the same time giving the suicide gankers something to worry about when they undock in High Sec. Right now they have free reign to travel around in High Sec with little to no risk whatsoever, allowing them to take their time to pick and choose targets at will. Currently they're not rushed so they can set up a gank and wait for backup if needed.

If a Bounty Hunter career was implemented, maybe that would provide a little bit of deterrent to the would be gankers. At the very least they would have to get their security status up to neutral before undocking or traveling in High Sec.

DMC

It wouldn't deter them one bit. From the moment they undock to the moment they land on the target, you have effectively zero chance of actually killing them. If they are using an instant undock, there is no way to prevent them from leaving station. If they are actual gankers, once they hit -5 you can shoot at them all you want anyway, though the window for doing so is incredibly small. Any gankers that are good are using cloaked or neutral eyes anyway to do all the leg work and scouting anyway - they are docked up until they are ready to go.

I'm just generally confused, as anyone who knows about ganking realizes that there is nothing to actually hunt. High Sec is full of people who are -5 or less, 'reds', who can be shot at by anyone, at anytime, for any reason, and CONCORD will not help them; hunt them all you want. Yet, the overwhelming majority of catalysts flown by them are never in any danger of not reaching the target, because of the way HS mechanics work.

Sorry this post just makes me laugh because it reminds me of all the times various denizens of the C&P forum have feigned ignorance of how utterly pointless it is to try and hunt dedicated ganking alts in highsec. There are no real consequences for ganking in highsec, because of the way the game of alts meta works. In fact, most iterations of consequences or risk in the game can and are mitigated or eliminated by simply throwing real world dollars into purpose-built alts. It's a cash cow for CCP of course.

Ganking is easy. I view it as an extremely profitable form of PvE, and generally have no problem with it except when people try to make it out to be an actual challenge.

You're doing it wrong then.

As a member of code it takes real effort to not make isk when you're ganking. Your ships/modules are all free.

Well then you definitely didn't do enough research. Try viewing more than just a few posted replies before posting an incorrect statement about me.

By the way: I might detest some of the players as well as some of the game mechanics but one thing is for sure, I have never said I hated the game.

Nah he doesn't hate the game. And he's worked on eve-survival etc. We may disagree on some stuff, but he's a good guy/asset to the community.

SORRY! My mistake. The poster in question, their posts reflect nothing but bad-troll, classic signs of it thru and thru. At one time what I said may have applied, but this poster I slightly defended has proven me completely wrong on the here and now. Simply posting as a really bad-bad-troll. Not even slightly a good-troll and for fun, or even for any real justice of any sort. Just bad. Again, sorry, I ****** up.

I'm in it for the money

His killboard tells me that in the ~2 years that character has been active it has left highsec 4-5 times. 95% of the kills are highsec ganks. And that's fine. But that toon is clearly a dedicated ganking alt and I believe it would be very illuminating to know who the main is. Everyone has to make ISK somehow, and I doubt he just started playing 2 years ago. The very first lossmail on that toon is the "baptism by CONCORD" in Kamio.

Now, considering the fact that CODE can hand out free ships due to the massive "share purchases" constantly trumpeted on their blog, anything your hauler alt pulls out of the wrecks should be considered pure profit. No excuse for being spacepoor. Of course if you're just doing it for the content and the tears then I can understand not caring to scoop the wrecks. Your operating costs are zero after all.

Maybe you should do some research first before you post, then you won't appear as much of a fool as you already do.

Everyone who looks at your killboard knows you don't actually play the game. I even met you once ingame, you yellowboxed my scout and yelled something in local and then you warped off again. I don't consider showing off your t3 and never use it's gun playing EVE, but that's just my opinion.
