FW Lore and Ship Skins Idea

So I would like to combine two aspects of Eve that I enjoy - Faction Warfare and the new ship skins. Can we incorporate some aspects of FW into the new skins mechanic? Wars in the sky have always been fought by squadrons, and the most accomplished squadrons are fondly remembered by friends and foes after the battles have subsided. In addition, there is some cannon of lore that accompanies FW, so why can't each faction be given a unique squadron Skin that commemorates some aspect of Eve's factional warfare history. 4 unique skins that can be placed on say the slicer, comet, firetail and hookbill.

I think it would be unique and would allow for a more authentic feel in the FW battlegrounds.

I think the Comet, Slicer, Hookbill and Firetail are all *already* effectively FW skinned. Still, it would be cool to have more. I actually think a different approach would be to have Milita skins for other ships.

It'd be awesome to skin all of my Atrons / Tristans / Algos / Throax ect hulls with FDU colors.

From the looks of it, CCP are already planning on introducing more skins for faction ships. There's a Wiyrkomi skin for the Hookbill on the test server if I remember right.

I'd definitely like navy options for other ships though.

Thanks for the thoughts. I'm not saying just general skins, I'm saying that we have famous unit specific skins. The Tuskegee Airman for instance had distinctive red tails,on their aircraft. I'm also good with general militia skins, but I think that faction warfare back lore should be considered. I like a historical context. - but that's just me.

The famous "Angels of Jamyl" that fought at such and such... It adds a certain authentic feel to the skins. But I'm a bit nostalgic. Give us something for the longest war zones. 😃
