So you care enough about the change to post a thread about it but didn't care enough to find the change before accepting it?

You did the same and actually I believe the EULA is all right there, but the terms are not. When you goto the terms and they're blank which means you technically didn't accept to the terms of agreement since they handed us a blank sheet of paper and had us sign it. I'm just wondering what they actually added to it.

The link from http://www.eveonline.com/ redirects you to http://community.eveonline.com/support/policies/

Your links 404 presumably because you just typed them in rather than using the redirect?

The update to the EULA was April 16, 2012 (it's noted at the bottom). The update to the TOS was September 9 2013. Check out the section ALL IN CAPS at the bottom of the EULA btw.

There was probably a dev blog at the time, would you like me to go find it for you, or do you think you can do it?

The EULA that you posted is not the updated EULA because this one states
"This EULA describes the terms and conditions under which you may (i) use the Software; (ii) subscribe to, access and use EVE Online, and (iii) access the System CCP may amend this EULA from time to time by posting an amended version at https://community.eveonline.com/support/policies/eve-eula/. If you accept this EULA, the then-current version of this EULA shall apply each time you access the System or play EVE."

When the link is supposed to be http://www.eveonline.com/pnp/eula.asp which is the link I clicked on the agreement page which redirected me to a 404 Page not Found. The links you gave for the EULA are the old one not the one we just accepted. Just like this says
"You agree to observe and abide by the Rules of Conduct as may be amended by CCP from time to time. The current version of the Rules of Conduct may be viewed at https://community.eveonline.com/support/policies/eve-tos/, and are incorporated in the EULA by reference."

The link was actually changed to http://www.eveonline.com/pnp/terms.asp

Also the dev blog doesn't mean anything because I didn't ACCEPT the dev blog I accepted the EULA that came across my screen that is a legal binding contract which has broken links. Technically right now there are no rules of conduct in play because the new agreement I just signed did not contain them. The EULA link you posted is null and void.

Might be a bug on the eveonline.com webpage - it's fairly new. I can't even see a link to the EULA at the bottom, but the TOS link redirects to the community website where the policies are.

Sorry, the paragraph I mentioned in caps is at the bottom of the TOS not the EULA.
Quote:
CCP MAY FIND IT NECESSARY ON OCCASION TO MAKE CHANGES TO OR RESET CERTAIN PARAMETERS OF THE PERSISTENT GAME WORLD MECHANICS, INTERFACE OR FEATURES OF EVE ONLINE IN ORDER TO MAINTAIN GAME BALANCE AND ENHANCE PLAYABILITY OR PERFORMANCE FOR ITS SUBSCRIBERS. THESE CHANGES MAY AFFECT OR CAUSE SETBACKS FOR THE CHARACTERS YOU’VE CREATED.

THESE RULES MAY BE REVISED AT ANY TIME. IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO REVIEW THEM OCCASIONALLY TO ENSURE THAT YOU ARE IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE RULES, POLICIES AND AGREEMENTS DESIGNATED BY CCP.

Seems to answer your general question?

Just sadly we atm can't view the review current rules, policies, and agreements designated by CCP because they atm don't exist due to a bug. Shocked

I've just copied the one from the browser vs the one from policies. Word count is the same. The only change looks to be that 404 page you linked rather than a direct to the policies webpage, which is silly but nothing to get worked up over. I really doubt it's a good idea to take that to mean that the EULA isn't in effect, but you do what you think best P

I didn't do the same since I didn't log in on the client AND also didn't open a thread asking what the change was after accepting it.

May be just an annual rehash of the EULA, but I suspect it may be the harbinger of another round of cleaning the EVE house of some accounts who are "stretching" the rules in regards to third party software and other aids.

"I had no idea I wasn't allowed to do _______" has often been used to protest their innocence when their accounts get hammered. Since everyone has had to theoretically read and sign it recently, you can't claim ignorance. It's never been an effective excuse before, but perhaps EVE doesn't want to overload their new customer service system at its implementation.

To buck the popular trend, I began to Rage Start instead of Rage Quit.

...and every time I get another piece of Carbon, I know exactly what CCP is getting this Christmas.

That'd be fun, but I prefer to think the launcher has achieved self awareness and is now gleefully trolling anyone who touches it. Special torment reserved for those who have been slagging it off.
