Launcher Won't Start Game

So basically every time I start the launcher the first time it'll give me the wrong IP message and ask for a character name, when I type this character name in it will say it is incorrect and send me back to the username/password login. So I login again and on the second time it will login successfully and I will get the 'Launching..." message for awhile but the game won't launch. Instead the button will just go back to 'Play'.

I've cleared my cache and tried redownloading and reinstalling but nothing works. Help would be appreciated.

I'm playing on Mac btw.
