Just easier way to copy+paste one from internet then check+block by yourself in Jita all the time. The thing everybody want! The thing you MUST add to your "to do list" CCP!

Edit: Ofcourse those lists can be made by anyone so if there any kind of scam that is acceptable for you - it's up to the owner of scammers-list to specify measures by which chars are added.

Edit to coders: Once a player comes back to eve from summer vacation and he likes clean local - all he need to do i just type in google "eve scammers list" then he just copies it and pushes ingame button named "Import from clipboard" -> suddenly he sees clear Jita local -> suddenly he blesses CCP for nice work -> ??? -> Profit!

Scammers rarely exist outside of Jita, Rens, Amarr and Dodixie. Why do you need a compiled list of who is scamming in local?

If you don't follow the rules, neither will I.

why do you read local at all in trade hubs? There is really 99.99% of spam&scam.

Better service, less clicks, improved game experience.

What else are people doing in hubs? Selling and buying stuff, reading local that contains "99.99% of spam&scam". What do you prefer to see when you going to local market in your city:
Option 1: price-list
Option 2: smiling trader with golden teeth

How much did you lose to the scammer?

Edit: Oh, and which scam did you fall for?

-1 to the idea, devs have more important things to work on.

I always read local when I am in a trade hub. many times I have nearly fallen out of my chair laughing at the stuff the scammers think people will far for.

Guys, if you are so oldfaged that just used to live with that - it's okay. If CCP have more important things to do - it's okay. I just asked to put it in "to do list" after more important things are gonna be released, i think it's good thing to do for "little things team".

Feature already in game. Click on local tab when in trade hubs and select 'Blink Off'

By this logic i can say: "everyone who against this idea are just earning from scam-alts"

I'm sorry you got scammed but if you want sympathy, the better way to approach the situation would have been to start out by admitting that you made a mistake, then tell us you feel maybe the punishment was a bit severe. We might pat you on the back and give you some stale cookies to help you get back on your feet, or maybe advice, or whatever. And the anger will diminish over time.

But the first step is admitting that you could have avoided it, had you known then what you know...well hopefully now and definitely by someday.

As for making a list of scammers, that's really a job left to the players to create. If you want to suggest tools to assist players in creating such lists, I'm all ears, but such tools need to leave a lot of the work to the players. I don't care whether or not CCP owns a list of scammers, there's never going to be a reason for them to give the list to players. Or maybe I am misunderstanding the OP.

On a serious note, why do you need this? Scams are stupidly easy to spot as it is...

It really depends on how well the player understands the system. There aren't a lot of scams left that do a very good job of tricking an astute player, but there's still the margin trading scam, for one.

Dude i wasn't scammed today, but been scammed once after new year, when i was afterparty, in kind of lotterry when some counts "3...2...1... scam/cheap thing". Also, don't think that creating ingame tools or code is work for players, it's work of those who gets salary... eve is not open-source project... but if there is option to somehow write and use external program that will automatically add names of scammers to block list and not be banned by using 3-rd party software - that option might be awesome at least for part of community that don't cares about EULA. So if there is gonna be legal ingame option to import list by couple of clicks thats gonna launch wave of block-lists that are created by community of players that are actually care and help to create better game experience for the rest of glad dudes

If i understanded your answer not correct please explain where)

Know dude, just want better tool to be available, like tripwire for those who likes to map WH-s, scammmer-lists for those who likes clean jita local with hornest traders to deal or just to chat without being interrupted in the middle of conversation by scam, yeah just like that, even if looks unimaginable

Good scammers roll there alts to keep the names fresh. Your list would always be out of date.

If you don't follow the rules, neither will I.

Tripwire wasn't made by CCP. It is made and run by players.

If you want something similar for scammers, make it yourself. That's the idea behind a sandbox.

And there are literally zero honest traders in jita local.

I think there are some chat channels that specialize in trade or 'secure' trade. The scammer in there do have more self respect and post much less mind-boggling scams. Isn't that a better solution to this problem?

And for newer players CCP should add the Opportunity 'Close Jita local'

It's up to scam-list manager to update it, nobody said that it gonna work with all online scammers, if it was like this it would take more golden coders time from CCP to add "live synchronization" option or even couple of guys that are monitoring local 24/7 and you just subscribed to receive fresh names to your list... Too much work dude, not for busy little CCP team. Microsoft or Google company can handle such amount of work but not a little Icelandic company that currently in trouble with lowered players online on servers and must do their best to make them come back again.

Updating blocked list each time by yourself from source that frequently updated by players is best option i can see, cuz main updating work is gonna be done by community. CCP just adds 1 button.

I can create the list but not an ingame option to load all the list in couple clicks, importing it name by name is less functional. If i use 3-rd party software to add scammers automatically it becomes problem with EULA rules. Tripware just reads your ingame activity and not writing it. With current functionality i can only add players one by one... but amount of scammers are asking me to add them by dozens... The hornest traders gonna come as soon as scammers gonna be cleaned out so there is no gonna be need to create extra trade channel and distribute it's name
