Think Aaron here is more like the (new noob right wing populist) foreign affairs minster of Finland, who very recently followed EU regulations of sanctions into a last drop of bureautic letter, by not allowing some Russian politics here to celebration of 1975 Helsinki-process 40 years ago, and soon Russia started to threateing with more sanctions against Fineland as a "hostile country" (while we now have still majority towards neutrality, there is exploding numbers of NATO-supporters now, thing Russia wanted to prevent in Ukraine, but might have caused it in Russians northern border, and NATO supporters will sure be soon majority if things go this way too long), that in turn will make EU as a whole increase sanctions against Russia very hard, as we just followed EU-rules...

Idea compacted Aaron: How will you CONTROL chaos that results when nasty people infiltrate this area pretending to be friends, but just attack others there (and strangers in hope they bring retaliation and war there later)?

Without alliance you have just no way to kick out/make "friendly" hostile infiltrators of Hub Zero red-targets for rest of the group, quick enough atleast (to satisfy all, every corp/alliance then there must each separately set these people red too, with delay)...

Sure, alliance can be easily wardecked if one pilot shoots wrong guy..
But i see it happening anyway, allied or not...

EDIT: And not to forget that alliance propably has most best ways of keeping track of blues and reds with fastest updates (before some griefer goes through every system around killing unsuspecting other "neutrals").

0bama,

I think you maybe reading into this a little too much. I realised in order for me to get this started I needed to radically change the way I do things. This time round there will not be chaos simply because i've decided that in the initial set-up the circle will be small so there won't be any big blue corp that try to dominate us with their version of Hub Zero. What we have at the moment is a few guys who have based their entire gameplay on Stain.

We plan to add to our group carefully and I can assure you there will be no easy way to get blue to Hub Zero, those days are gone and never coming back. We are going for solo players and small corps who like their independence so the scenarios you speak of may not play out as you say because most of the guys involved will have an independent point of view.

I feel I have earned the respect of the people I'm with so if it turns out that we blue someone who is a practiced manipulator as a practiced observer I will stop their untoward plans and they will be removed with the support of the community. Please accept that the previous attempts at Hub Zero were part of my training which has put me in a better position to present this episode of HZ. I have studied everything about previous attempts i've read the old forums about HZ, and I've revisited exchanges that I've had ingame with people who oppose my methods, no stone has been left unturned and my experience has prevailed.

FYI, I am not a right-wing noob. I am an experienced socialist who has tried and tested lots of techniques. I don't want to comment too much on your real life example but i can tell you this; we will not be intimidated and we will stand firm on our ideals. I know that we're not going to fall in line with what a bigger group wants Hub Zero to do.

Ultimately I am fine with HZ members going around fighting neuts simply because 99% of the people around this part of Stain are originally formed from alliances such as Stain Empire who have policies which aim to eradicate people like me and anyone allied with me. If this simple fact makes us a target then so be it.

As Orion mentioned we will use a Mailing list to inform people of standing changes, we have found this to be very effective in previous episodes of HZ.

Good luck with your game 0bama o/

We had a good day today.

We were able to get 650m in kills, a Maelstrom and a Gila. Both fights were great and we were happy that we were able to get such kills with a small group of guys and limited ships.

Our focus looks like its going to be resource gathering for a while because we realise this will cost if we have daily pvp. We have spoken to a few old HZ members and some of them are coming back to join us.

I am very happy with our progress and I have a good feeling about this attempt. At the moment we would like to invite noobs, solo players and 3 or 4 man corps. We will get round to inviting larger corps later on down the line. I believe lots of independent solo guys and small corps will create a great foundation which can be built upon.

Just wondering. Wasn't there another guy who tried to establish a nullsec utopia in Stain a while ago?

Ah come on dracvlad don't tell me you are not going to join in on this epic threadnaugt of an adventure ?

Well Aaron , i am confident that allthough your adventure into null will be just as bad as the last one that this threadnaugt will give us the joys of tears from laugter and drama as the previous ones did.Good luck out there and don't dissapoint us forumreaders BlinkLol

flakeys, thank you for showing interest in my gameplay, members of Second Dawn have already got involved in the PvP in Stain which you may have noticed, and I am suggesting to my members that they should try out the PvP there, after all I have lots of assets and ships there. I may at times go there for PvP, but that is the limit of my involvement.

I wish Aaron well, nothing much else to say on my part. Big smileP

When the going gets tough the Gankers get their CSM rep to change mechanics in their favour.

Drac, I am happy we have your input into this and it is good that we have been able to put the past behind us. Any assistance you can give us is greatly appreciated.

Meh we don't need drac for drama we have you Aaron .It just feels more comfortable with drac in the spotlights too.Having him not joining in is like one of your favourite characters of a soap get killed.

Good thing though , just as in a soap there allways is a new character stepping into the spotlights to take away that empty space OR a magical return of the ''dead actor'' ....

Ah, the old thread. What ever happened to Celes Steele and chicksdigmagnets and Roosterton?

This is the post that made me go check out the Hub the last time. But then Celes didn't really deliver and let Aaron continue to flail about so that was it for me.

I moved on to wormholes, which is where Aaron's group has belonged for 5 years, he just doesn't realize it.

Hey,

I hereby declare Hub Zero open for business and eagerly await to hear from interested parties. For the moment please contact me directly, our public channel is: Hub-Zero Public.

Had a good day today and got a few kills. we've made a couple of agreements that I think will be crucial to the success of this episode. Recent events have given me a new faith in the pilots of eve. I thought about doing another Hub Zero on the way home from work the other day and I've managed to inspire a few people who are now involved and loving it, I can't tell you how excited I am.

The trick is to really take my time with this and build slowly to ensure we're making the right moves.

I find it hard to contain my enthusiasm for this episode because I've had such a good time so far and met a few new and skilled people.

I seriously think Stain is the place for small corps and solo players, you know, the little guys of Eve. Lets make a combined effort to get some serious content going in Stain because we can. Forget all the propaganda about null it is a conspiracy which you shouldn't believe under any circumstance. Based on my experiences I believe we can make Stain whatever the hell we want.

Hi,

Progress seems great at the moment, we have been able to establish a Ship Replacement/Ship Financing program to ensure that we can cover losses and purchase T2 ships. We have all contributed to it in lots of ways and it appears the fund has close to 1 billion available which we have contributed to in this short space of time. So if you do come here to work with us you will be well taken care of.

New players are especially welcome here because we benefit from you growing with us and you benefit from being in the company of guys who combined have over 25 years worth of experience playing Eve Online.

I once had a great hi-sec experience working with new players about 5 years ago, I created an alt and joined a hi-sec corp where the guys were cool, all of the players were 10 to 15 days old and we had some great fun doing missions. After a couple of days we got war dec'ed and the CEO asked me if I could organise our defence. I told him I'd do my best....

So, we were ready to defend our hi-sec mission running operation, I managed to get 4 new guys to fit up super tanked thorax's I also had a thorax. We had been camped by a megathron and a cane for the past day and I decided enough was enough we we're gonna take our 5 thorax's and stand our ground. Because the players were so new less than 20 days old I knew we had to have a trick up our sleeve so I instructed all the guys to put an ECM module in their mid slot, all the guys complied.

I get them all to undock my heart is racing thinking what a failure this is going to be..PRIMARY THE HURRICANE!! all the guys primaried the cane it was going well...The cane and megathron start doing DPS on one of my guys....TARGET THE MEGATHRON AND ACTIVATE ECM ON HIM!!...the guys do it...oh my god...the megathron is jammed we can win...I was so excited that I threw a bit of roleplay in there...STRIKE HIM DOWN MY WINGMEN!!!!!!! said in a loud bold voice...all the guys laugh....the cane goes into hull and a few seconds later explodes...WARP OUT NOW!! I shout...Where to? one of them asks...ANYWHERE!!.. i reply.. We all got out and cheered for a good 5 minutes..the thrill of victory.

The war dec was retracted a few days after.

The story above only scratches the surface of whats possible, the fact we accomplished that with new guys less than 20 days old with meta 3/4 fits is interesting don't you think?. I would hope this story inspires you new players to come here and be a part of our community. Please, completely ignore anyone who tells you new players are limited in what they can do, I believe otherwise.

Best of luck Aaaron. Please ensure everything is documented in this thread. I have bookmarked. It'll either be great or tragic, heart warming or hilarious; either way, it'll be amazing.

Today we killed almost 2 billion worth in ships on a local enemy who we are removing from the area. The kill frenzy got to a point where someone said they felt sorry for him, I felt sorry for him for a second but then I remembered all the assets I had lost in my quest to populate Stain for Hub Zero. I feel no remorse now, and anyone opposing Hub Zero will be dealt with in a harsh manner.

Hub Zero is on the up and were moving forward aggressively to secure the area from neuts and enemies, we've had some good success and we now have our laser sights aimed at other local troublemakers.

This is not a game anymore, nor is this a drama or soap opera, this is serious business. I'm appealing to all the small corps, solo guys and bitter vets out there to come and make stain your home. Forget Hi sec it's just full of trolls and griefers, please come to Hub Zero so the griefers and trolls follow you we will then kill them for you because they wont be protected by hi-sec rules.

Some of you are very wrong about this game, Eve is unique and I think it is here to stay just like me. I'll always be in Stain creating content. There are people on this thread who have given you the wrong impression of me and I would ask that you try to accept that it's just a form of pvp. Come and see our set-up in Stain for yourself once you do I can assure you that if you are on comms and getting involved you won't want to leave.

As of this writing, you have 25 members among 4 corporations for the Stain Confederation. Is that pretty good for the amount of time since you first posted the invites at the end of June?

This is not alliance recruitment. We are organising blue status for people to be part of a blue community in Stain.
