Hmm. That's a very long waiting list indeed for a simple heart transplant.

I wonder how things are looking over in The Republic.

Are you talking about the projected demand for monogamous men or enjoyment of holo games?

I've been known to enjoy a completely fictional game set on pre space Matar called Rim of The Sky. Lots of opportunities to be extremely heroic, or a complete sociopath. Or possibly both.

If I want to get the anger out of my system prior to launching I sometimes play a first person shooter called Lands on The Border that centres around looking for forerunner artefacts in run down colonies on the edge of low-sec space. It's a bit cartoony and full of very cheesy pop-culture references but great fun nonetheless. The sequels are worth a look as well.

From time to time i like to get "old-school" and make a table of "Catacombs and Leviathans" with some of my crewmates in the starbase.

This was a great idea for a thread, Foley.

For the first time since I started the conversation, he looks me dead in the eye. In his gaze are steel jackhammers, quiet vengeance, a hundred thousand orbital bombs frozen in still life.

While I remember.

I sometimes play an Imperial authored game called Wardawn. It's a real-time strategy game that places you in command of various imperial troop types facing off against heretics and, in some cases outright fictional supernatural foes. I think it might have started life as a MIO propaganda piece. My copy is legitimate, but came from non-slaver sources.

I only play the first draft of it. Eventually it was altered to be more about individual hero types but I liked directing hordes of computer generated madmen against other computer generated madmen. Regularly screaming "For the Emperor!" and getting killed in bizarre ways.

My apologies i am not very up to date on the latest holo games i much prefer watching quality shows like The Real POS Wives of Oursulaert. The dilemmas those women get themselves into. . .

I often play Call of Honor: Medal of Duty when I'm integrated into my capsule wetware.

The frustration is delicious when you can perform unscoped 360 headshots with nanosecond precision.

Why not? Let's say that an imaginary egger spends randomly from 2 to 10 hours a day piloting their ship doing stuff that needs to be done. The rest of the day he or she is out of pod like any other human being, just walking around. Might as well play a game if there's nothing better to do. And even in pod, there are plenty of times that there is really nothing to do but wait.

It's important for us to be able to relax, I think. And especially to talk about it. The perception of capsuleers is that we're all inhuman monsters. Discussions like these are a good way to disprove those notions.

I still have that game loaded somewhere and play it occasionally for the fun. I even have some of the tabletop figures still stored somewhere. Imagine that! Using actual renderings of the characters on a board instead of super high fidelity holoscans.

I've started playing something new, not fully 'live' yet. It's a wet navy simulation, two teams of players against each other. I bought my way into the closed beta phase. It's going open beta soon. I'll admit it's quite fun.

It is quite funny how we can all get along over hologames. I never would have thought.....

That game sucks.

I can't believe you paid extra to get into the beta.

NavSim Y116 will be so much better.

Do you play it on the link interface? Open^ interface is so much better. Under ideal conditions, there's a 2% improvement in visual fidelity. Real gamers only use Open^.

Well it's not like I can't afford to buy my way into things like that if I want to. I bought two new assault frigates recently. They're a bit more expensive.

As for interface, I've tried both, and I actually prefer Link. The 2% is so small, it's barely noticeable anyway.

Hey now. If you're playing against other people implants should be turned off.

Only when I'm not in pod waiting for some hot ultraviolent action. My clones have severe electrolyte deficiencies which often requires me to seek external sources of essential salts -- I find the demographic that enjoy FPS games provides these the best.

They're almost as salty as a lot of starship captains.

Almost.

Both, I guess. Monogamy itself is like a holo game for most.
