Khanid Zealots and avoiding pantomime.

During character creation I chose the Zealot ancestry for Quin, mostly because it seemed consistent with a devoted commoner who would be willing to take up arms for their faith. In writing and developing the character, I have tried to locate prime fiction materials and player content that would help add depth to the zealous nature of this ancestry, such as those discussed here. While I have found some valuable works to define the Khanid, I still struggle with the place where Zealots fall within Amarr society. I worry that, in Quin's devotion, I have created a very one-dimensional persona, one which has the potential to be more of an annoyance for players to read, rather than a unique voice in the collective drive for player content.

I'm wondering if there is any further reading that other players would suggest to help fill out this persona while remaining true to the established lore for Khanid and the Amarr. I know there are the Scriptures, and I have read a number of Chronicles related to the Amarr, though mostly on religion rather than historical events.
