As of the release of this statement, Liberty Vanguard [VGRD] has completed the foundation stage of its development and is open for recruitment. Pilots interested in extending their services to VGRD are encouraged to contact myself. Initial interview and consideration procedures include (but are not limited to):

• A full background check (resources include GalNet, NeoCom resources and Authorized Pilot Identification verification)
• An interview, conducted in person or over holovid regarding the nature of VGRD, the applicant's purpose for joining and what the applicant hopes to achieve/accomplish/gain from service within VGRD

About VGRD

Liberty Vanguard is a privately funded paramilitary organization serving the Federation in the capacity of border defense and infrastructure development. It's militia service contract it currently: active. In this capacity, VGRD pilots are expected to operate with integrity, diligence and caution both in and out of the capsule and to operate only within the defined Federation sovereignty borders while serving in the militia.

Liberty Vanguard is not serving in an offensive capacity and has no interest in capturing or maintaining occupancy in foreign territory.

Liberty Vanguard does not associate itself with any particular political party or voting bloc and welcomes all interested applicants regardless of either affiliation. Liberty Vanguard will not consider applications from enemies of the Federation or pilots whose interest(s) in service do not line up with the corporation itself.

Principles of VGRD

Liberty Vanguard expects its pilots to operate with honor, integrity and discipline.

Liberty: Liberty, as defined by VGRD, is the inalienable, intrinsic right of every individual to pursue their own goals, happiness and quality of life within the confines of reasonable and equitable governance. It is not the absence of law or government but the fair and reasonable exercise of law and governance that liberty demands.

Freedom: Freedom, as defined by VGRD, is the inalienable, intrinsic right of every individual to pursue their own goals, happiness and quality of life within the confines of reasonable societal structure and operation. It is not that everything must be tolerated or accepted but that tolerance and acceptance are practiced foremost without prejudice or discrimination.

Honor: Honor, as defined by VGRD, is the diligent exercise of respecting human dignity and the value of human life not only for self, friends and family but also for enemy. Any individual who cannot demonstrate respect for another is undeserving of that respect for themselves.

Integrity: Integrity, as defined by VGRD, is the practice of remaining true to word in both public and private. Action and word should never be at differences and private conduct should never be different from public conduct.

Discipline: Discipline, as defined by VGRD, is control of self; mind and body. Respect for, and submission to, proper authority. Blind obedience is not discipline. Reasonable obedience, with regard to the above principles, is discipline.

Good luck Liam. Honorable intentions if I ever saw them. You'll go far personifying what the Federation's people, not the politicians, really stand for.

You should consider educating your fellow faction allies in your methods Liam, really show them how to use the courage they're known for in keeping a balance despite the shrill of mouse like critics.

Trying the best you can?
Okay, lets see even at your own definitions.

1. Serving Federal regime, that doesn't value human lives, disrespects enemy captured soldiers (PoW camps in Black Rise), genocides civilian population of enemy side, committing terror military operations with their military branches (Malkalen, Highlander).
2. Claiming to "value of human life not only for self, friends and family but also for enemy".
And, finally...
3. Claiming that "Action and word should never be at differences and... "

Warriors of old age would fall on their swords after such disgrace.

I have always found you to be honorable, intelligent and we'll spoken, even on those occasions that we have found ourselves at odds. I'm glad to see you embodying such qualities in Vanguard Liberty.

The irony of a symbol is that by itself it is meaningless. Like an ideal, it is not the symbol itself that provokes and even demands a response, but rather those people and things the symbol represents. The deeds and words of those who have bound themselves to that symbol give it meaning and power.

Because of this nature, a symbol will only hold meaning, will only provoke a response or a feeling if the one looking upon it has some attachment, some correlation, however finite to those people or ideals. It is also this nature that allows the meaning and power of a symbol to change over time or to be viewed in entirely different lights by different beholders.

Perhaps the symbol of the Federation in the background of my license portrait or the foreground of Liberty Vanguard's emblem holds no meaning for you now, perhaps it never did.

For me, it represents courage; courage to uphold the principles listed above and to do all that I can for those unable to do so themselves. It represents the ideals behind the founding of the Federation and which should remain at the heart of its governance. It represents the forebears that have gone before me and the legacy they entrusted to us. It represents all of these things that I have tasked myself in living up to.

Perhaps, one day, you will look upon it and see more than a lifeless and empty symbol. Perhaps, one day, you will have something to correlate with it; something that gives it meaning. Hopefully, my deeds and words will show you what I see in it.
