Fuel Block Hauler

Considering we have a bunch of specialized haulers for ammo (Hoarder), ore/gas (Miasmos), minerals (Kryos) and PI materials (Epithal), why not make one for the most hauled items in the game, fuel blocks?

Caldari and Amarr don't have any specialized haulers, give the Bestower or Tayra some love. Or make an entirely new fuel hauler.

Just an idea, something that I would find really useful as a POS operator. Daddy wants a fuel truck!

Occator works well for this :D. I wouldn't be averse to the other races getting a specialized hauler for stuff not already catered for, it would make sense lore wise for someone to exploit a niche in the market.

I believe jumpfreighters and Rorquals already exist...

But I can't use an Occator with my low SP hauler alt, and Iteron is bad, it has no defensive capabilities like warp core stabs unless you want to have ****** cargo bay size. It would make sense to have a specialized fuel truck imo.

Not in highsec and low class wormholes. Well, JF can be in highsec but it's a bit overkill and takes a long-ass time to travel gate-by-gate, oh and it costs billions. Even a regular freighter is expensive and slow for simple fuel block hauling.

A hauler ALT should have transports as a top priority. Takes about a month including reasonable support skills with +4 implants. DST instantly makes all the specialty haulers obsolete. DST can also be surprisingly fast - my Mastodon needs a single pulse of the afterburner to warp.

I read your subject line and see that it already has the answer: you just need a hauler. Any hauler. We do not need more specialized hauling ships.

CCP should add more NPC 0.0 space to open it up and liven things up: the Stepping Stones project.

well, from logic stand point it seems like *someone* would probably make fuel track... bay designed for pos fuel and stronthium.. so I don't think it's a terrible idea

I like the idea. +1

To be in terms of "future proof", maybe we should start using rigs for the special cargo bays. Though then there is the problem of having those 5 different gallente hulls... Why did CCP ever design so many...

Would it be outrageous to make pos fuel a form of ore?

Caldari and Amarr lack a medium-sized industrial. I say give the Tayra the Badger Mk. III hull, and give the Badger Mk. II to a new vessel. Then make a new industrial for Amarr, something that's actually large and intimidating, and give it the Bestower stats, then make Bestower the Amarr medium.

One can haul fuel blocks and the other can carry a ship maintenance bay and fitting service. Good way to support a frigate fleet.

aren't POSes soon to be extinct anyway?

Yes they are. But we're not sure if they'll just be removed, or reworked, or whatever will happen...

Only thing I can find regarding a POS fuel hauler.

We talked about doing a POS fueler (and I expect this to be the most legit complaint) but it just isn't possible atm. I can't go into specifics but please trust me here =/

"No, i don't want to train one month on a hauling alt to unlock a bigger, larger, tankier multi-purpose hauling ship. I'd rather have CCP waste 3 months in coding a useless pile of metal that will not be used because it will be instapopped by gankers, and will still not transport as much volume as a deep space transport."
