Background:
As you may know, it was PIE Inc. and Imperial Dreams who founded the Curatores Veritatis Alliance, and are today still, the oldest known capsuleer organizations still in operation.

I myself have had a 4 year history with the CVA under invitation by Lord Hardin to leave the Providence CLRGY for Defensores Fidei and it wasn't until recently I have joined the illustrious IG. Upon my entrance into the organization, I discovered that our 12 year anniversary was approaching, and decided to set up an event to celebrate the 12 years of our fidelity to the Amarr Empire.

Soon after the planning however, the Empress issued this decree

It was then decided to modify the scope of the event to gather Amarrian and Allied loyalists to heed the Empress' call.

During the course of the event planning, I had been in contact with Admiral Ren Karetta informing him that Imperial Dreams wish to issue the Empire a gift, for which he responded that he would lodge a request with Grand Admiral Ketzi Sundara.

Here is a -BRIEF- account of the events which took place:

Fleets around New Eden began mustering their forces as early as 13:00 New Eden time that day. This included fleets converging on the Domain Region from the Caldari State, the Khanid Kingdom, and various null-sec regions. The Providence Coalition Bloc fleet, lead by CVA Fleet Commanders departed from two Form-Up locations at around 15:00, to arrive safely in Sarum Prime at 15:30.

While organizations, and individuals began arriving, the Royal Starliner Regency Amarr, a Providence class Amarrian Freighter with the words "The will of God: Amarr Invincible" etched onto the hull, anchored at the Mehkios Graveyard, and extended docking planks for various individuals and dignataries to board, and be present within the Grand Hall aboard the RSL Regency Amarr.

Lt. Rytha Main of PIE Inc. served at Master of Ceremonies, and promptly began the event at 16:00, ushering in Lord Admiral Rodj Blake of PIE Inc. as the first keynote speaker. Logs of his speech are available. Next Lord Hardin gave a speech, both pillars of faith who have flown in capsule for over 12 years. Shortly after Lord Hardin's speech, Admiral Ren Karetta or the Imperial 3rd Fleet appeared in system along with Divine Commodore Taidis Rolti. They took the stage, and Admiral Ren Karetta had these words:

Quote:
"Esteemed betters? Such flattery, when in truth the sight of so many Imperial loyalists gathered to gether rivals any parade the third fleet would offer.

I have to say, to see so many of you here in support of the Empire during such troubled times is both heartwarming, and reassuring.

While the Imperial Armed Forces can assure subjects of Her Majesty that there is no challenge we cannot face, the presence of so many who remail loyal to the Empire is a sight indeed.

Grand Admiral Sundara and Her Majesty Empress Jamyl I offer their most sincere thanks to CVA, PIE, and all other loyalists who stand in support of the Golden Fleet in service of God and Empire during these troubled times

…and of course, the Imperial Armed Forces offer our most sincere congratulations to Imperial Dreams on this, their twelfth anniversary celebration.

I see a lot of familiar faces gathered here today, and I do hope to be able to count you all as loyal and able supporters of the Empire and her interests in the years to come.

For God, and Empire. AMARR VICTOR!"

There was a massive response from the congregation with enthusiastic applause and replies of "Amarr Victor!"

Shortly thereafter, JedsZero, executor of Apocalypse Now began to give a speech, here is an excerpt:

Quote:
"The Drifter threat is real, it is immediate and it will not go away… infact, if we are to believe the most recent reports, what we have seen of the Drifters so far is only the beginning. If there ever was a time for all of us to stand united in the defense of all that is Holy… in defense of the glorious Amarr Empire… then that time is now! We need to set aside our differences, and stand together! As it says in the Book of Missions… "Surround yourself with the faithful, Stand together, for there is no strength like it under the heavens. "We are all here to stand together… to stand united… united with our Empress… with our fellow Amarr citizens… with our Caldari and other loyalist brothers… to stand united against the coming storm..."

It was at this point that the proximity alarm klaxons began widly, and the Divine Commodre Taidis Rolti interrupted the Executor to say "DEFEND THE EMPIRE"... at which point all capsuleer could see an Armada of 100 Drifter Battleships warping on top of the loyalist gathering.

At this point aggression began, as Admiral Ren Karetta's ship began taking fire. He gave the order to all local pilots: Ren Karetta > ALL IMPERIAL VESSELS, BREAK! BREAK! CONTACT! CONTACT! BEARING 336, ELEVATION 401.663! FREE FIRE! FIRE AT WILL!

At this point, the main coalition fleet was in parade formation. CVA fleet commanders gave the fleet warp order to a safe location to escort the RSL Regency Amarr out of harms way in order to ensure the safety of all those still aboard and to initiate attack formation. Back at the graveyard, Amarrian and Caldari forces began engaging the enemy.

Rytha Main of PIE was in direct comms with me while she remained at the graveyard, and reported strange flashes of light and the defeaning sounds of what seemed to be large EMP detonations, at which point her Crusader began to easily peel through the shields of the enemy. Destroying a drifter battleship single-handedly, she reported to coalition forces that God was with Amarr and to engage forces.

The CVA lead Providence Coalition forces consisting of pilots from:

Alliance: Curatores Veritatis Alliance [CVA]
Alliance: Apocalypse Now [APOC]
Alliance: Cold Steel Alliance [STEEL]
Alliance: Care Factor [C.F]
Alliance: Khanid’s Legion [KLEG]
Alliance: Sev3rance [-7-]
Alliance: Silent Infinity [AFK]

Several neutral alliances who are peaceful residents of Providence also formed attachés to the main fleet including:
Alliance: The Sinful Legion [SINS]
Corporation: Defensores Fidei [CLRGY]
Corporation: Intergalactic Combined Technologies [ICT]

The coalition fleet returned to the Mekhios Battlefield in attack formation, and upon receiving the intelligence from PIE, began engaging the drifter battleship forces with vengeance.

Caldari allied forces gave full support to the main Amarr fleet with Executor John Revenent of Ishukone-Raata Enforcement Directive stating to those under his command:
[ 2015.06.27 17:01:19 ] John Revenent > "Ishukone-Raata Security Forces are to engage all hostile forces. Cover the Amarr Fleet."

Combined Amarr, Caldari, and Amarr Empire residents began engaging the drifter forces at will, until all were destroyed.

With damaged ships and heavy losses, it was at this point local pirates began to take advantage of the situation by engaging Providence forces, to which it was decided to withdraw. The Mekhios graveyard was littered with wreckage, and greedy scavengers began to converge.

PIE inc. began search and rescue operations of survivors.

An opportunist took my Gallente origins as a justified reason to fire upon me but our guardian pilots had armour drones and I was spared the white light of death.

My sincerest congratulations to the brave forces of Amarr and its allies who valiantly defended our Sovereign worlds from the threat of the Drifters.

We will forever mourn the passing of those who have fallen yet again on this very place in Sarum Prime where the Empress delivered a hammering blow to the Elder Fleet. Many perished in the battle of Mekhios, and many more have perished in that same Holy place today.

May their souls forever find peace in the hands of God among the frozen sea of stars.

Well, make it very well known your doing a show of force of like 200 ships, what do you expect? I don't believe they have good intentions but saw that coming a km away....

Give them more biomass to play with, AMARR VICTOR!!!

A triumphnant victory, however price was heavy. I fought valiantly middle of the drifter fleet. I also gave order for my alliance members not to run at any situation, but fight to the death. Our alliance too took losses, but in the end coalition emerged victorious.

This again proves how unprepared we are to the threat. A fleet of 100 vessels appearing out of nowhere in the heart of Amarr. A 1.0 security system!

"Why?" would you ask? Because we don't know anything about them! Because CONCORD thinks it will be wise to hunt those who want to help cluster instead of doing their job and protecting the people! All this security and what? Oh hey, it's just a fleet of 100 ships capable of blowing a carrier to bits with a single shot! Noce job, CONCORD, very well done indeed.

I bet you have some extra PLEXes for each Drifter and each crew member that died today because of your incompetence!

Please, continue to tell us all about how gathering a fleet in our own space is irrational, and about how we'd all be dying terribly and feeding bodies to the drifters.

I think they'll find it hard to collect biomass when their entire fleet has instead joined the Elder Fleet as a ring of scrap metal around Mekhios.

I have not yet seen any ballads about the bravery of Lord Vaari the Valiant, who at the forefront assaulted the drifter armada.

At Sarum Prime, the Golden Fleet
In great numbers, did they meet

To pray for all the souls of those
That fell defending Mekhios

And others came, but without soul
Drifters poured out of their wormhole

The Drifters fired on the Golden Fleet
But woe to them, for they did meet

A mighty hero, proud and tall
Stood against them, like a solid wall

Twas Vaari, him of many names
And lo, he summoned forth the flames

That burned the Drifters to a cinder
And thus the Drifters failed to hinder

The celebration of brave Amarr Heroes
That shall forever defend grand Mekhios.

Be wary of pride, Lord Vaari. Knowing that you acted in defense of the Empire should be reward enough.

Of course it is, but we all have our weaknesses. Mine is that I could be a slightly more humble. I know this, but I just enjoy so much about fame.

I am very disappointed I was unable to attend. It does, however, warm my heart that the Amarr Loyalists came out triumphant against this alien enemy. Congratulations to all involved, and Praise be to God.

DENS honours its fallen dead this day.

As commanded we engaged the Drifter forces and our ships were lost; many crew members died. Not before, however, we saw many of our enemies (for such they now assuredly are) destroyed under the combined firepower of those present.

As we remember the fallen and mourn our losses, we take heart from those survivors amongst our crews, Amarrians and others, who have already resolved to return to their duties as soon as they are ready.

We will return, stronger and with greater resolve to honour the memory of our lost comrades.

AMARR (and allied forces) VICTOR!

There was an old man named Vaari
Who was very lacking in wit

Who tried to make up in titles
But only showed up as a twit

He put his stock in fame
But in the end, himself only to blame

For the fact everyone sees him as
a little sh**

In short, shut the f**k up, Vaari.

Also congrats and whatever to killing evil drifters. Whoo.
