eve client minimising, and desktop glitchy and odd-coloured. help?

is this a re-occuring thing, or just something thats happening to my client? if so, is there any way i can fix this, because its really annoying having to alt-tab every time i jump or dock...
i took a screen cap of my desktop, logged off, and looked at the picture, and it all seemed fine
it seems to be an issue with my graphics, not the client.
i dont know enough about this kind of thing to know what that means though.

i have an acer aspire 5755G, nVidia 540m, core i5 and 4GB RAM.

it worked fine when i was using incarnia, its only now with the update that its going wierd :(
i cant even mine without alt-tabing every 3 seconds...
