Macintosh eve launcher freezes?

Today, I was logging on for tonight to train some skills over the night and I open the launcher. The launcher then opens as usual and I start to type in my password, the little spinning beach ball of death arrives. I can't even type anything in to the launcher; all I can do is move the screen! Should I re download the launcher? WHAT SHOULD I DO???!!!

Never mind! I just downloaded the launcher again and everything is back to normal!
