I love ewar with a passion but someone put the idea in my head and now i am forced to look somewhere with a unbiased approach to all this (i personally favor the griffin)

in a 1v1 fight against a interceptor who would be better

for simplicity lets assume that the interceptor is doing omni damage and isnt a auto target missile user

first thoughts are that the griffin has potential to perma jam the interceptor and secure a win but has so little dps that the interceptor would have to willingly let the griffin take him to get killed

next thoughts are that the maulus would ruin the interceptors targeting range and just out run him using drones for dps to destroy it but assuming the interceptor is using webs and a mwd he would just close the distance and web him making this do nothing to the interceptor aside from save the maulus for a few seconds

from my perspective on things the griffin is better as he has less chance of dieing and his role isnt damage dealing so that is perfectly fine but if for soloing a maulus would be the better choice as you can actually fight back with it


but i have been fairly biased towards ecms loved them since the rats started using them on me all those months ago whats your take on this

tbh i wouldnt fly a solo maulus against a ceptor anyway, a blaster taranis will do over 300dps at 2000m, your damps really wont do much at that range and you will melt to the dps and drones so fast. i could be wrong though ive never tried it solo

sentinel though.... engaged one in my rail harpy and that didnt go well at all, the sheer range of neuts means i was stuck at 30km watching myself die while this sentinel chipped away at me
