For kids to grow a pair, strap in, undock, maneuver that blaster boat like a man and **** a Motha *bleepity bleep bleep* in the FACE!Pirate

Grow some backbone you kite fest, spineless scared children of 2011. Screw your 100 man gangs of Arty fit lawl Mach's and whinematar cannon fodder. Give me a heavy neut, a rack of neutrons and a nice stiff drink and we got this baby...

Shh..shh.shh... it'll be over soon... Just try to relax. Now tell me where did the big bad Mega pilot touch you? Twisted

I DARE any pilot here to tell me that piloting a blaster boat is LESS fun than that piece of crap kiting rust bucket you call a ship.

Closing in, turning that heavy neut on and watching ever so slightly as you get in scram range as your target is dead in the water knowing he's F^%$'d and seeing all that precious little hp just melt away is ever so satisfying... Or how about getting under an Arty Mach's guns and being right in that faction fitted scrubs face because he thought faction + whinematar = godmode and seeing him BURN.

CCP All I want for Christmas is my pilots back to flying like they used to... WITH SOME CAJONES

As part of a corp / alliance that admits that more than a 5 man gang is "blobbing", as you will be ganking loners ("in their home space, it's still ganking :O) I couldn't agree more...
But guess what: what CCP tries to make for ages now is to focus into the "mass effect" in EvE gameplay... 10 vs 10, 5 vs 5, 32 vs 32 - all MMOs could do that...but only EVE could do 200 vs 200 or 500 vs 1000, so they gave more and more into promoting that fact...

Now that blobbing is all there is for 99% of the PvP out there, blasters cannot cut it...extra range, extra dps etc...won't change much, as to maintain the slightest variety blasters cannot be ACs, nor Pulses...

The thing is that AC and Pulse changes over the years already lead to "bended" rules etc, with some weapon platforms being too good all around. You simply use them with no compromises (yes, projectiles), and most other times you can afford to compromise, you use the best in it's own department (aka arties for alplha or lasers for non-reloading, hi dps projection). For more small scale stuff, HMLs...period. Why go for "all-or-nothing" blaster stuff than "always something" with the other platforms?

I've been flying solo or in really small gangs, usually 2-3 people mostly over the last 2+ years. The only ships that allow me to use blasters as intended, are frigs, where solo and 1vs1 still exists. Daredevils and Taranises are fun this way, and do have the face-melting advantage if you pick range of engagement favorably. You have ridiculous low range, but 2x the DPS of the average combat frig...even 3x in some cases. This doesn't scale up in any other size...best case you get 1.2x the DPS or break even with lasers and/or projectiles. Diminishing returns as you start applying ur advantage usually too late to turn the tides...

It's not about balls - I usually have balls and I don't care about losing ships much, i just don't like silly losses without killing at least the same ISK value I'm losing, and large blaster ships with no support usually lead to nothing but that. And that is NOT fun...challenge accepted and pwned.

What u are describing is silly HACs drifting into your neut's or scram's range and dying...cause otherwise, Mega's cannot do much better than any close range high dps BS...and there are a handful of those...so ask for more hacs flying solo, engaging BSs.

I just wish people would stop flocking to 'winmatar' and put some damn variety in blobs, and even in pve.

That's a Templar, an Amarr fighter used by carriers.

Why fly something worse? No one eats **** flavoured ice cream in a misguided attempt to be unique.
