You could do it like everyone else and just warp 1-2 secs later.

Good points, though CCP killed the squad warp option but is still keeping fleetwarps to stations and gates, wich in my opinion needs to be removed also if they do the change to fleet warp .
Point 3 would be a good idea. And is in the same frame of mind as the fleet warp changes.
Point one will be the greatest problem to be able to do.
From a ui standpoint they will want to do one and the same propagation time for all spaces(null, low, high, wh).
Then the problem will always be that to fast(less then a minute) is bad for null sec because you will be nullify-ing the warp changes, for wh it should be instant just for it be be live-able... .

And to corbexx maybe change the original post to include the new dev blog and comment thread?

No local in null sec would fix everything!

One to two secs later is a pretty inexact way do to it. If they do not put in adjustable warp speed, you would need a warp speed calculator that uses ship type and distance as inputs to give you an accurate "when to warp relative to ship x" value. I'm assuming warp speed being adjustable will not happen. I'm working on such a calculator for my own purposes and I may end up having to make it some kind of public thing...

Said it in the other thread, and I say it here. Now is 3/4s bad.

Well CCP could go down the road of creating fleet bookmarks. Temporary bookmarks that delete themselves whenever the fleet dissolves.

They could create this option, set it so that only fleet, wing and/or squad commanders can add or delete, and have a lag time of 30 seconds upon creation for it to show up for the entire fleet.

They are temporary for the fleet, so even if you make hundreds of bookmarks, they all wipe themselves out when the fleets done.

Npsi fleets have no issues with sharing bookmarks (there in fleet, can even be created beforehand, transferred from corporate bookmarks, etc). The 30 seconds lag time would aide in the whole insta warping and tagging with probing, training fleets would have the option of creating training bookmarks, fleets would have access to alternative bookmarks, etc.

So... Yea if you provide fleet bookmarks, you could potentially eradicate fleet warp, give individuals the option to warp to bookmarks shared with the fleet, kept in safety, but not bogging down the bookmark server with billions of permanent bookmarks. They all get eradicated at downtime.

Now will people get pissed if their fleet crashes and all their temporary bookmarks? Sure.

I would think this may address alliance bookmarks, shared npsi warps and wormhole bookmark sharing in between corporations without quadrupling the bookmark server.

Yaay!!!!

Are there plans to allow more things to be broadcast to the fleet as waprins? For example probe results.

Broadcasting a probe results is only slightly different than the prober warping to the location and putting WWWs in fleet.

Broadcasting seems more elegant and still retains the requirement of the pilot flying their own boat.

This idea seems both original and valid. +1 for sure.

Expanding on this; We fly ships that can lock and warp to a target many AU away, i have no doubt they could broadcast coordinates, or even just send coordinates (see BMs) without putting them on a little piece of paper and sticking them in a can in space. =P

EDIT: See obove post as well. Pheonix Jones idea on temp/fleet BMs. Also another great idea to uncripple mixed group fleets and tactics.

fix for bombers:

blanket % resistance to all damage types allowing x mount of bombs to go off in one area in a specific time, leave the balance up to you.

This also mean mixed bomber fleets will be viable ad not segregated to wings.

Bombs velocity reduced by x% flight time adjusted to retain 30km range.

Leave bookmarks alone (fixing propagate time would be appreciated)

This is going to make wormholes incredibly painful for small fleet groups. The main issue I see with this is the propagation time of corp bookmarks and the complete lack of alliance bookmarks. With these (utterly stupid) bookmark restrictions, it will mean that some players will be able to engage in content while others will miss out due to poor game mechanics (or worse, lose their precious ships).

Either fix bookmarks so they propagate instantly and add alliance bookmarks, or rethink this change. As others have suggested there are plenty of other ways to nerf bomber fleets without ruining the life of those in small gangs and fleets who can't afford to have multiple cloaky scouts or interceptors on grid for pings.

Plus, and I know it's not strictly a WH thing, but you want to try timing that in TiDi? I'd rather not...
