Permanent drone aggression

I have the same problem again today. The rats instantly aggress my drones every time I launch them. Doesn't matter what anomaly I move to. Logging off doesn't fix it. All I can do is wait until the next downtime.

Please take a look at this issue. Drone aggression is broken.

To expand upon Serendipity Lost's comments from earlier, why not use this to your advantage? If you launch and recall your drones like a bunch of yo-yo's, while the AI is frantically switching between attacking you or the drones, you've heavily negated a lot of incoming DPS. This sounds like a good thing that can be taken advantage of.

Let's discuss overhauling the way we get intel in EvE.

Yeah, frankly, the right thing to do is file the bug report, but I think most eve players would just use this ai glitch to tank the entire room with their drones allowing for even easier pve than before.

What you could try is dropping a flight of light drones or just one and let that Drone sig tank while your other 4 drones clean the room. Have the light orbit something far away then drop the sentries and see how the ai responds.

I'm sure when ccp realizes how potentially exploitable this behavior is it will be changed. You could, for example, drop some drones, get them to hold aggro, then fly in with guns and **** on the entire room while the ai attacks drones that are way out of reach, and too small and fast to kill.

Just to clarify that odd drone behaviour also happens in pvp - happend just a few hours ago somewhere in lowsec where a few buddies and I killed a bestower and an Oracle (yes people still fly those..).

So one of them had ecm-300's on my buddy and both pods made it out but still with both ships destroyed the drones kept my buddy locked and he couldn't recloak Sad

I declare it a bug.

Since getting I can't pve for a few days from one player....the rats are doing the smart thing. Killing the drones on drone boats for what we can assume its their only damage dealing ability. Good for the rats....they went outside the box with their thinking lol.


Until (or if actually fixed) slap on some high slots that actually shoot something, maybe some RR to keep drones around longer, go glass cannon fit on boat and have a blast. What I missed when aggro shift happened. Could spice up the pve in many ways. But that's me, I miss running my level 4 fit bombers (spec'd for torps ofc) to break up the monotony lol.


TBH....if this valid I may have some funky things to try out with some boats.

seems like no one realizes the OP actually ran into an AI bug (as remote modules draw more aggro than drones, but didnt worked when he tried)
and yes, i hate ishtards online
