Hey guys

I am looking for a tool that would allow me to match an alt character with the main character without asking a player for API.

Thanks

Chances are not going to find anything to do it since CCP tends to go out of their way to prevent anyone from doing so.

Finds camping stations from the inside much easier. Designer of Yapeal for the Eve API. Check out the Yapeal PHP API Library thread.

Good point. It would still be nice to have such a tool. Or maybe a website where players can submit their alt names?....

Only realistic way of achieving this is to automate the standard process a human being would go through to determine alt accounts. Tools exist, albeit I don't know if any publicly exist.

Another option could be a website accessible only by CEO and alliance leaders (API based) where every member of a corporation would be asked to input his alias names upon application to a corp/alliance.

why would I go out of my way to give away free intel on myself?.. i'd rather my unknown cyno alts be UNKNOWN for a reason.

Systems such as this exist just in the form of requiring a player to submit all of their account API's

So to take PL as an example -
You make an account with the EXACT ingame name of your main, so I now have an account called John Smith on the forums.

John Smith then submits the api's for his main, and his alt, so you get

John Smith
Account 1 -
John Smith
Account 2 -
Batty Betty

You can then safely assume Batty betty is an alt of John Smith.

Keeping a record of this for past, and present members allows you to build an alts'ing tool, but only for people you've actually encountered.

As Jita says, no one is willingly going to share intel on themselves unless they're forced to, and unsurprisingly this extends to the corp and alliance level, why reveal your own alts when you could keep them secret?
