HELLOW fellow capsuleers just wanted to ask out of curiosity in this thread there is any canon hierarchy on eve lore is possible to considerate the evelopedia as a reliable source for lore and such and some of the things mentioned on it can be considered as canon ?

EVElopedia is written by the developers. It is fully canon. Only EVE Source outranks it, when there is a contradiction.

Not necessarily.

A lot of the content that's on the wiki is produced by our awesome ISD Mercury team. We wouldn't want to take credit for their awesome work.

This is correct. Source is effectively the "bible" for EVE backstory. There's still some cleanup to be done on the wiki, so anything that contradicts source can be considered incorrect.

I can confirm that we are indeed awesome.

The vast majority of the stuff in the Fiction Portal is written and managed by Mercury, and reviewed/edited by CCP's lorehounds (after going through M's internal gauntlet). Everything locked on the Evelopedia should be considered canon, unless it is overwritten by subsequent CCP material.

We try to make sure that everything on the wiki is up-to-date with the latest CCP stuff, but Mercury isn't a huge team so occasionally inconsistencies slip through. You players have a lot more eyes though, so if you spot what you think is an inconsistency let me know and I'll see if it can be addressed!

The sublime and the ridiculous are often so nearly related, that it is difficult to class them separately. - Thomas Paine

I was actually meaning to be referring to ISD Mercury as well. I consider 'developers' to refer to everyone developing official stuff for EVE. Being unpaid volunteers still counts in my book. :)

Next time I'll say writers though!

What about when there's an obvious error in Source? Since Midular's death is stated to be 113 in Source even though it happened in 115 (IIRC).

So awesome that you forgot to keep the Entosis Link out of Capsuleer hands. We will be venturing into Jove Space to re-write the story soon enough. They were the Gods of New Eden....now we become the Gods and Goddesses of New Eden. Creation deems this to be fate and not even the Jove can contradict Fate.
