CSM Campaigns

If anyone has ever run missions for any amount of time they soon realize that they are trading freedom of movement for ISK making ability. Giving you the choice of either very limited ways to make isk in the game (non-missioning) or cutting yourself off from access to half the universe. If you run missions for one faction (even if you completely ignore storylines) you will eventually cause the opposing factions and derivative opposing factions to drop into levels that aren't repairable by any reasonable methods (other than a painful grind or 1 time only options).
Also the gains and losses to faction standings are lopsided. They are not 1 to 1. You never gain equal faction standings to the amount of standing you lose due to the fact standing only increase from storyline mission completion rewards, however there are multiple ways to incur a standing loss. Usually by having to kill NPCs in the missions.
It is all a very painfully frustrating system that really adds little value to the game. I really would like to see CCP revamp and change these standing system.
Either by making faction standings increase much higher % from completing storyline missions or by reducing the amount of negative and negative derivative faction standing losses.
If you disagree please explain how the current system benefits the game and the player experience. Remember games are supposed to be fun to play.
