Greetings Capsuleers and Industry Moguls,

I don't post very often, but I do read the forums a fair bit. I tried to search my topic, but I didn't find anything. I fear my google-fu is inadequate for the task. Anyhoo...

I am looking to up my chance for successful Invention for Void S BPC's, and have a couple of questions:

Do ammunition (or other consumable type invention) use the basic items for the invention like modules do (or so I have read)?

Additionally, my skills so far are 3 for the Encryption Method, and 4 each for the related science skills (Plasma and Quantum Physics). I use Process Decryptors for the input material, and total I have 50.2% success rate. Can this be increased further beyond the skill increases, and what would a would be industrialist do?

Thank you.

For what I know, meta items are no longer a thing for invention, only decryptors and skills can affect invention. And about decryptors, the rule I heard of is to only use them for ships above frigate size. This is something to help with success chance http://www.eve-cost.eu/invention .

In the name of Jirai 'Fatal' Laitanen : “Some capsuleers claim that ECM is 'dishonorable' and 'unfair'. Jam those ones first, and kill them last.”

Thank you for the link, it is very useful Smile

Looks like I am on par for the success percentage. Not using the decryptors will certainly be cost effective. I was thinking that the overall success rates would be higher for invention, and I was doing something incorrectly. It looks like the jobs are just harder mechanically, for balance I would imagine.

I will continue to train up them skills, and hope for some good fortune Blink

You might want to read-up on the industry changes, especially the invention changes (includes invention chance):
