Tukoss really dead? Or convenient ploy?

Is Dr. Hilen Tukoss really dead? Or is it a cloned body laid out to distract us from wherever else the Drifters are hiding him?

Tukoss' last broadcast In his last broadcast, two major celestial objects can be seen at various points. A bright yellow celestial can be seen clearly at 0:20, and partially obscured at 0:35, 0:47 and 1:23. When coupled with a bright but smaller blue celestial object partially obscured at and 0:30 and 1:19. With this, I conclude his last broadcast takes place in a Cataclysmic Variable Wormhole system.

On the other hand, his body was recently discovered in J174618, which is a Wolf Rayet wormhole system.

Thoughts, comments, concerns?

I agree, there are other items of confusion in this;
Buzzard wreck? Yes [] / No [X]
Med Clone activation, permissable in lieu of his confirmed death? Yes [] / No [X]
Subsequent broadcasts? Yes [X] / No []

After more digging, Tukoss was a trained capsuleer per his Biography, and given he was piloting a Buzzard, if it bears any relation to the way Assault Frigates are piloted due to it being a T2 ship, it too will require a pod, and thusly will allow him to clone back via the trans-neural scanner and the Quantam Entangled communicators, unless the Hive can generate the ability to block QE comms similarly to the Eve Gate (explained in Templar One). to test this, i spoke with a pilot who self destructed his pod next to Tukoss's corpse, and he was promptly revived in a CRU following the self destruct sequence.

also, the second video linked by Borascus above is what drove me to this question.

This is very possible - We have no idea what else our Loremaster (Falcon) has in store for us.

I personally think that's a plausible idea. But the whole killing off Hilen Tukoss was more of a Dropbear leaving CCP thing, wasn't it?

He also had out-of-capsule backups waiting in case he died and the capsule-cloning system didn't work. So, by all rights he should still be walking around.

The question is more will he be forced to stay dead for storyline reasons.

I regret to report that devs are also human, with all resultant issues. ;)

Well, since we're on a details kick for this, its also not a 100% confirmation. "Safe to say" is close, but no cigar. However, I think I can sleep better at night.

If you ask me this sounds like the perfect way to take a prominent character (Tukoss) that belonged to someone else (CCP Dropbear created the character) and either re-purpose them as a new-ish character, or kill them off for good.

Personally I think we'll see Tukoss again, probably as a drifter NPC for some live event in the future. The setup is just too perfect; prominent scientist dies sending a warning to us about a massive drifter army forming in the depths of w-space, his infomorph somehow intercepted by the mysterious new threat, turning him into one of them... Yeah, my money is on Tukoss returning as a Drifter sometime in the future.

Is that in reference to the backup clone thing?
