There's a great way to avoid the bird of prey likeness, which is going to happen if you use a model that has a continuous outer surface with the fuselage + wingy format.

Most of the ships in EVE fall into that category. It's either a basic tube, block, or circular shape.

The Garmur starts to do it but not quite.

It's not just EVE's ships. Pretty much any fantasy space ship I can think of is guilty of it.

I could describe it in a way that artists would understand, but I'd rather keep this to myself. :-3

Why don't we just make it look like a Bird of Prey only so far as to not get lawyers involved and be done with it.

Us old schoolers need a reason to use all that Kingon we learned in the 1980s.

What bugs me about the Caracal is that the thrusters aren't pointed in the right direction. It ought to be tipping forward every time it accelerates. I fail to understand why this is meant to look like good spaceship design. (Especially on the part of a faction notorious for its commitment to efficiency over mere appearances.)

"Enduring", "restrained" and "ample" as designations for starship components are foreign to the genre of high-tech science fiction and don’t belong in Eve Online. (And as for “scoped” …)

It still amazes me to this day that there is a language behind all of that alien mumbo-jumbo. It's like we are admitting that we have no life, but that's okay...we have internet space ships and the Klingon language...instant iwin!

"Tomahawks?"

"----in' A, right?"

"Trouble is, those things cost like a million and a half each."

"----, you pay me half that and I'll hump in some c4 and blow the ---- out of it my own damn self."

Agreed. People should stop writing fiction, especially science fiction. (That includes movies, games, etc., as well.) And let's get rid of nursery rhymes, they aren't useful, and they confuse children. And philosophy degrees, because what's the point of thought experiments? And why do people keep climbing Mt Everest? It's cold, short on air, and full of garbage; nothing new to learn. A lot of mathematics and physics can also be avoided if we concentrate on what's real. I'm looking at you i (and the rest of your imaginary friends!)

Instead we should all be really useful engines of productivity.

Pon Farr Memorial: once every 7 years, all the carebears in high-sec must PvP or they will be temp-banned.

I've been to funerals where people would say of the deceased "he was a very hard worker".

You know, the kind of guy who had health problems for years and refused to see a doctor because they were actually glad at the prospect of dying because finally it meant some goddamned rest.

Heck they could have at least played a game once in a while. Lol
