1. need the standing ( and ofc a player corp )
2. need a tower ( S, M or L ) + anchoring lvl 1
3. need at least 1 lab
4. ??? need anyother structure in pos? assuming ill go only for researching ME PE, copy and invention
5. need fuel
6. ??? can i rent the lab slots for public use with some price? standard price or custom set price?
7. how many research slots can a character use? ( i assume 11 with adv skill but not sure )
8. i can only have 11 max job of ME+PE+invetion+copy ? or 11 of each?
9. how do i secure the tower so strangers cannot come inside the force field?

thanks in advance.

Best wishes.

4. ??? need anyother structure in pos? assuming ill go only for researching ME PE, copy and invention
- Personally, I like to keep a hangar in the tower to store additional fuel and any misc arrays. This doesn't actually need to be a corp hangar, you can use most assembly arrays for the job. Definitely not needed, but useful. Your research arrays actually work for this function, if you want.

6. ??? can i rent the lab slots for public use with some price? standard price or custom set price?
- NO, not really. You can set prices for corp use fees (and alliance now? Not sure on that....), but not for the general public. It would be really nice if you could do that, but oh well. Other pilots will have to give you the BPO and let you do it (which counts against your skill limit).

7. how many research slots can a character use? ( i assume 11 with adv skill but not sure )
- Yup

8. i can only have 11 max job of ME+PE+invetion+copy ? or 11 of each?
- 11 Total

9. how do i secure the tower so strangers cannot come inside the force field?
- They cannot come unless you give them a PW, which you set. You can set the tower to let alliance mates come in, though. Even if people do come inside the shields, you cannot target anything or access any arrays unless you allow them to have access via the POS Management screen.

Btw, as mentioned other places, set up your tower in a system with an NPC station and keep your NPOs there. That way they never have to reside in the tower, you can do your research with the 'scientific networking' skill.

4. Having a corp hangar or component construction array can be useful as extra storage. (The comp. construction more so in the coming days with the fuel block changes, unless you plan to buy pre-made fuel blocks). You don't need anything other than your labs though.

6. You can open research slots to corporate use for any task, but alliance members can only perform PE / ME research where no consumables are used. (For example, IIRC rig blueprints require datasheets for PE/ME research, so these tasks cannot be performed using alliance slots)

Old fuel for now. Watch dev blogs and announcements for a planned switch date. Once it is fixed, keep about a week of blocks in there, so when the switch does happen, your tower does not offline.

thanks for the info so far. much apreciated.

if i get war declared i have 24 hours until i can un-anchor the tower?

if 24 hour passes and my tower gets reinforced i have another 24 hours to un-anchor the modules, including the tower?

Thanks in advance!

no.

If you get wardec'd you have 24 hours grace period before the war goes live.
If you choose to leave the tower up, and it gets shot, you cannot take it down if it's reinforced (note, IIRC, you can cram ~40 hours of stront into the towers). All reinforced mode does is give you 1-40 hours of time (depending on how much stront you put in the tower) to get a defence fleet organised.

You will be able to enter the POS shield as long as the password hasn't changed but you, NPC corps and non Alliance player corps will be unable to use the labs.

no. POS are CORPORATE assets. You cannot leave the corp the POS belongs to and be able to use it in any function other than as a "safe spot" (assuming the shield is up, and you know the password).

I recommend reading every post in:
POS Setups: Jump Bridge/Cyno Jam/Reactions, Moon Mine/Mining, Labs, WH

Also today's patch enabled putting fuel blocks in POS fuel bays:

CHANGES

Player Owned Structures, Outposts and Stations

  • Newly installed outpost upgrades now have manufacturing lines as public access by default.
  • Warp Scrambling Battery and Warp Disruption Battery now correctly online in 120 seconds rather than 150 seconds.
  • Fuel blocks can now be placed into the appropriate racial Control Tower fuel bays alongside regular fuel types, in preparation for the forthcoming switchover.
