I was kind of away from the game for a while logging in only occasionally and not paying attention to much details. I remember that Zbikoki's Hacker Cards were going for about 1 mil a pop for a long time, so I didn't pay much attention to it.

However, recently I looked at the contracts and they are selling for 5+ mil and there are even multiple WTB contracts for hundreds of them for about 4 mil per item.

As far as I know, these items only serve one purpose: to allow you to pass through the first gate in "Worlds Collide" mission without dealing with the group of rats at the gate. The rats are not that hard to deal with, so my questions are why sudden interest in Zbikoki's Hacker Cards and why their price jumped to 5 mil?

I don't know the reason but I quite merrily turned the 700 odd I had gathering dust into isk. If you look a lot of the sell contracts are from the same people who have the WTB contracts up so they are obviously selling enough to make it worthwhile for them.
