Hi,

I'm not sure this is the right forum section to ask this, but it looks like there are new systems in this expansion. I assume they are wormhole alike systems, but I couldn't find any information about them. I can't play until a couple weeks, so I won't be able to check them out myself. Anyone know what they are like?

They are totally awesome, will probably be nerfed in a few weeks.

Been at work and eagerly awaiting people to talk about these systems but apparently nobody is checking them out.

Look forward to getting a day off and exploring them myself.

The systems are accessible through the unknown wormholes that pop up randomly in systems with Jove Observatories. They also have a C2 connection (these systems themselves are C2)

Each one has a certain drifter site in them with a pair of paths that each unlock the other side to continue through it, and there is a drifter hive at the end.

Some of them have been checked out already. My corp ran Redoubt [post], Brave has run Conflux [post], and I believe another corp has run Sentinel. It seems to be mainly the lore community that is poking into these new systems (I agree, I can't say I have seen much discussion that hasn't been posted for role-playing).

Cool...but dumb question.. What exactly do you gain as a reward for fighting these drifters anyway? Also how do you tell when you've stumbled uppon one of these systems via c2 chaiN?

There's some loot whose purpose is as of yet unknown.

Consider, though that the Antikythera Elements had no use when they first hit the server, but are now used to build Entosis Links.

I don't think you'll find them in the chain, as far as I know roaming holes can't connect to them, and they only have a C2 connection out, so you will only stumble upon them through a K162, most of the entrances are K-space through the unidentified womholes that spawn in systems with a Jove Observatory. If you find one, though, it will be obvious since they have a beacon in them for the Drifter site, or you can check the J sig

I think they have taken a much better approach with these than the semi-stupid shattered systems.
