For the next Plex for Good I hope it goes to a more reasonable and responsible charity

But Good Job Raising money For A Good Cause.

Why do you have to make an issue out of it now? If you don't want to donate fine. Straight

Raised the issue before.will raise it each and evrrytime someone brings up the red cross.

If you must be a party-pooper, at least you could have the decency of getting your facts right, given that any negative impression you help form has the potential to translate to fewer $$ for people in need.

NPR and Propublica have been investigating the AMERICAN Red Cross (ARC) since Isaac and Sandy, and this Haiti piece certainly highlights the possibility that they are more about sustaining their existence than doing actual work. And I agree with that assessment - they are ridiculously incompetent.

However, they are just one of the societies under the IFRC's umbrella. When you donate money to the IFRC to go to Nepal, to the Icelandic Red Cross, or the Nepal Red Cross Society, you are not sending money to the ARC. Those societies are run on shoestring budgets and do incredible work after disasters. You're welcome to critique them in their own right, and they may face the same issues if they are swamped with cash, but please.. at least get your Red Cross Society right.. =/

Incredible work, CCP and Eve brothers and sisters - never stop! <3

Proud that while we are assholes of the first magnitude to each other in-game, we can leave that aside and come together to help people in need.

This.

I've played several MMOs, and the Eve community is one of the finest I have ever been a part of. But I'd like to thank CCP as well for having the balls to step up and make it possible.

Eve is like an addiction; you can't quit it until it quits you. Also, iderno
