Hey all,

Does EFT include missile travel time in the DPS number?

Thanks!

No it does not. It's because it's dependant on many factors such as the distance to target, your speed, their speed, their direction relative to your ship etc.

Ok thanks

I wondered if maybe it used the max flight distance as an assumed range

The charge info, assuming the missile is loaded into a launcher, will give you the max velocity of the missile on that hull with the skills you have chosen. Some quick division will give you flight time to max range.

For example: Navy cruise missiles from a Raven will do roughly 10km/s max V, which gives them around 22 seconds to impact at max range(222.1km/10.575km/s) assuming no rigs. This is why sniper missile battleships are pretty much only good in PvE where the enemy doesn't decide to align out and warp off laughing; 1400s at 250km deal instant damage where missiles would take 22s to deal any if they aren't firewalled.
