Been mining since day one....want to get into incursions. Have no idea what to do. Been told by a twitch streamer that a decent incusion ship will take 1 month to train for, maybe slightly longer. also heard shield ships are top of the list for need. I need a ship to train towards so that I can maybe get in an incursion group in the next month or so.

There are a number of corps / groups that run Incursions, best advice is to find them, talk to them, decide which corp / group you want to fly with and then ask them these questions.

Many of the larger Incursion groups maintain web sites with lots of information on them, look around the net and see what you come up with.

The game sets up a chat channel in every Incursion location, you can always fly to one of the and start asking around for information.

As a general I would say you will need upper level skills for a T-1 BS with heavy emphasis on skills that increase you tanking and resistances as well as DPS output.

1 month seems optimistic.

For lazy I suggest Nightmare.

I regularly fly with Warp To Me (WTM). I have mach, nightmare, vindi. Of the three, nightmare is the easiest to fly.
