So i have bought this character off the bazaar and followed all the rules.

The character was advertised with slave implants and the eve-board backed this up.. However on receipt of this toon the pod was lost 17days prior and the eve board was not updated.

I have submitted a ticket but been waiting some time for even an acknowledgement.

In the mean time im not sure if i should use the character? if the transaction would be reversed? I even plexed an account so i could buy this toon but haven't trained anything in case its reversed.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Ouch. Best thing to do is file a ticket and hope for the best.

I'm not sure what will happen but I've a feeling you're kinda boned. I REALLY hope not.

New Eden isn't nice. It isn't friendly. It isn't very hospitiable. Good thing there are people here to shoot in the face.

Want to make New Eden a nice place? Try this out.

If you have filed a ticket, rest assured that it will be looked into. Character scams are not allowed, and it does take time to verify everything. So please be patient. Thank you and good luck!

What are your recommendations on moving or even training the character? In these circumstances are the sales reversed?

I think typically the sale is reversed, and you get the character sale money back. You probably won't get back the PLEX you spent on the account, leaving you with a paid-for account. I would say wait for the petition to get answered, and don't use the character until it does. Take screenshots of the implants as shown in eveboard and/or the original character bazaar forum post.

Don't use the character or do anything to it. As was said above, document (screenshots) everything you can. Cheating and lying in the character bazarr CCP especially forbids, so I'd say your chances of getting the situation at least mostly resolved are pretty good. Although most of the time it is faster, a petition can take up to two weeks (it doesn't help that many ridiculous petitions are filed so it takes CCP longer to sort through the flood to find real problems). Don't use the character, don't touch it. Wait.

Pulp Fiction and Ezekiel 25:17 come to mind when I think about how CCP handles bazaar scammers.

Note that in this case it might just be a misunderstanding or honest mistake.

However be assured CCP will resolve it.

Just petition and wait patiently.

EDIT: ISD Dorrim Barstorlode removed the post I was replying to. The post appeared to be from the seller, because he was insulting the OP and suggesting that the scam should be allowed because of extenuating circumstances.

My reply was to that.

Removed an off topic post.

And yes, I wouldn't touch the character until your petition gets answered.

What he does, or is, does not matter. Scams are not allowed for character sales. The character was advertised with implants, if it was transferred without implants, he is within his rights to petition.

You'll get the character back; feel free to sell it again (correctly advertised), to any non-flipper that offers you a good price. As a seller you get to choose to accept a bid, or not.

Since hes the one who bought it, not sure what you mean by "Youll get the character back", as he already has the character.

What im guessing is he will receive the implant sets that were promised, with the seller losing the isk amount that it cost to buy the set. Seems the most logical thing to do.
