Corporation standings negatively affecting faction standings?

If i were to mission with one of the Thukker tribe corporations and ignore the story line missions that affect faction standings, would my faction standings with Gallente, Caldari etc. still go down?

No, the other Empire Faction standings will only be affected when you gain Thukker Tribe Faction standing or if you attack / destroy their ships and structures..

The faction standings are only CHANGED when you run a storyline mission, but the standings themselves are based on what you ACCUMULATE between storyline missions.

For example, you run 16 Thukker missions, and Decline the storyline mission, then run 16 Caldari missions and complete the storyline mission, your faction standings will adjust based on ALL accumulated standings since your last storyline mission. This includes from shooting belt rats, missions, etc.
