More pvp video's pls <3

Audio - Aura, music, sound effects and possibly more
Video - UI elements, transitions, beginning and end "plates", other short clips from previous videos
Overlay Graphics of various sorts, font packs

Yay font packs?

I welcome the effort but since every single other endevor in this respect crashed burned and waited indefinitly for rescue, I'll not put my hopes up *just* yet.

Seriously though, font packs are cool.

I have read through the suggestions and updated by first post with my thoughts.

Nebulas. This game has wonderful nebula backgrounds that would be awesome for videos, but right now we either have to look for screenshots or capture some ourselves. Having the full spherical nebulas would be a great addition and give videomakers the possibility to have great backgrounds that will allow us to pan the camara without it looking fake.

Regarding ship models then it has already been mentioned by Carlos and Tallardar and other that greenscreen exports would be really sweet. There are a few of us who have been using 3rd party sites to get these exports for our rotating ship model effects and it is really great. But as mentioned it would be nice if CCP could make something. It would be even better if there was a way to get the 3d ship models themselves into the editing program without too much hassle. Personally, I have been toying with the Elements 3d Plugin in Adobe After Effects and all I'm needing now is a way to import ship models and textures into that. I don't know much about the technical possiblities regarding that but any help from CCP is welcome.

As someone who also cares alot about eve avatar gameplay it would also be really sweet if we had a method of exporting 3d models of our characters.

And finally it would be nice to hear if there are any news on Media accoutns for video makers and streamers. Like bloggers and other fansite people we put a lot of time into making content and sometimes (like in my case) there can be long in between videos due to the extensive amount of time it can take. Likewise, the current rules also makes it difficult for streamers to achieve a media account status AFAIK. I talked with Logibro about it at FF and he said that you are working on it yet I haven't heard anything official about it.

Any chance of saving the gameworld to disk and replaying events locally (with multiple camera options), similar to many FPS games instead?

The problem with videos I generally see are viewpoints and UI clutter during noteworthy fights. Changing the camera angle and re-organizing the UI would be easier to make videos of fights, instead of recreating them from scratch*.

*I think that's what you're implying with the OP.

Awesome news indeed.
I would love to be able to put my hands on 3d models and textures, would that be too much to ask for?

It would be very nice.

No long looking for us.
No "copyright" issues/scares.

Looking forward to playing with it! :D

as a player content creator i applaud this decision! i eagerly await the release :). i was making all the assets four my tourny project myself .

Link to tourny concept asset

youtube vid of tourny concept

that took me a long time to make the vid and png - probably a lot longer than others.

Things i struggled to locate that would be great in this "resource"

hi resolution images for faction logo's

Hi resolution Corp & alliance logo assets

Hi resolution ISIS files - Icons, Ships and possibly the awesome looking ISIS backgrounds

Character Model Export database - query by Character name including transparent BG's for both headshots and full body

model files for the awesome pop-up weapon systems so its possible to highlight individual modules on their own. i generally have been using a combination of triexporter blender, photoshop and Inventor, then recording live on Xsplit's Broadcasting software if it was simpler to access these files you would have my gratitude as i've only managed some of the ships and none of the modules

my last attempt at a tourny video certainly wasn't A-grade hopefully his will be happening sooner rather than later

All right, so taking the night to think about this awesome idea (and also doing some video editing), here are some detailed thoughts:

  • Music is great - would be extra great if it's organized into subfolders (BGM, trailer music, etc.)
  • UI Elements and transitions are wonderful - is it possible to include these in 720p/1080p/4k? Or even higher?
  • Fonts: This is a must have along with music - the more the merrier

Now to add on to this:

  • Official color palette/style guide: In addition to fonts, having the official RBG/HEX/Pantone/whatever racial color values so player-made elements can blend more seamlessly with EVE elements. What is the exact "Gallente green" or "Minmatar rust" color, essentially
  • Very detailed legal notes on how the assets can and can't be used, and can and can't be monetized (for YouTube) so there is no confusion or resentment and everyone knows "the rules."
  • DUST514 and VALKYRIE assets: Please include these if legally possible. You might find the community could make some amazing crossover content that really weaves the EVE Universe together.
  • A collection of ultra high res image pack of every EVE ship, even the default info image
  • Any high-resolution promotional art, ideally without the giant "EVE Online" or expansion names superimposed. If it has to be kept for legal reasons, perhaps relegated to a watermark or smaller footer piece
  • Don't know if this is asking too much, but full HD/4k (if they exist) of all EVE trailers. People love pulling scenes from "Origins" or "The Prophecy" into videos, but having to download the files from YouTube or Gametrailers is less than ideal. If it can't be made downloadable directly, an "official" listing of links to where they can be downloaded
  • A reminder to all video creators to get involved in Buddy Referrals and/or the EVE Affiliates program! This initiative will definitely get EVE in front of more people, and give video creators more incentives to get the word out there!

Also anyone who pulled a TL;DR: please note this is not about camera tools or EVE Probe or Jessica Rabbit or any of that stuff; this is about some kind of resource package, ZIP file, or website where content creators can find visual and audio elements to pull into their videos with CCP's permission/help.

One more thing. I know it doesn't really have much to do with the toolkit but can we please have an option to nuke the ingame camera wobble? It is super annoying when you have to speed up video clips.

You can already disable camera shake in the in-game settings.

I know, but it doesn't affect the faint wobbling the camera does in a horizontal 8 pattern.

Could we get some better map controls? Like, I want to be able to fly through the map and the systems that are in the area of some of my videos. I've always had issues getting good map shots for this. Ideally, would be great to be able to set the camera to go between map spot A and map spot B at a reasonable pace in the 3d map. I've known and have even attempted making my own 3d map space in Maya in order to solve this problem but if you could add camera controls to the star map then you would make my life much easier :)

First and foremost I want to shout out a massive thank you to CCP for being so receptive to its community (as per usual). Being a new streamer, I have found it challenging to find material to add to my personal stream without possibly taking in-game screen-shots and working from there.

Here are some items I think would be amazing to have in a youtube/stream package. Please bare with me as I have yet to try doing youtube videos, so this is strictly - at this time- from a streamer's perspective :)

Question: Are we working from simply what exists in game or can we request a handful of new Aura files? Or say lil' gifs or miniature transparent jpg's of some ships? I'll continue with this list assuming that we have the pick of what currently exists and not what I just mentioned. Lol

1) A portrait background pack - streamers can use their green-screen to impose themselves or other images on to them.
2) Shield/armor/hull/All things ships sound pack - would be ABSOLUTELY fanastic to use for stream notifications
3) The targeting/target locked in a gif and or jpg (transparent?) format would be amazing!
5) That's all I have for now - will sleep more on this! :)

Kindest regards and fly safe,

I wish i had gotten into this years ago, but i only now have the time to start teaching myself the mechanics of this kind of design.

I know for me personally and probably for a lot of other players the most useful things would be:
- Sound effects for turrets, launchers, engines, in station background noises, explosions, and alerts
- Music
- Textures
- Backgrounds such as empty space, nebulas, planets in the distance

All of these would cut development times down quite a bit, My goal is within the next year or two to be able to make at least one of my own trailers similar to Dominion or Tyrannis in terms of complexity and detail. But the learning phase comes first

EDIT: And going with what the CSM member above posted a clear cut specific set of legal permissions to make sure nobody incurs the wrath of IRL CONCORD.

This is outstanding, and so are the suggestions contained in this thread. Short of an ingame replay system this will be a great help. I'll be following the development of this closely.

I'd also like to state my appreciation of CCP's long standing support of the YouTube community. Determining what is okay to make a video of can sometimes be a minefield, but you've always made it easy... and it is deeply appreciated.

Most of what I would like to see has been said here but I'll express my deepest desires from this:

- high quality EVE logos, like .svg vectors (if at all possible) and faction logos
- if you would include video snippets/transitions it would be awesome to see those in 60 fps since 2015
- a complete sound effects package of a variety of sound effects like the login sound, ui effects, atmospheric sounds like wormhole activation and 'ambient choir', weapon sounds, station atmosphere etc, if possible music and sound effects in seperate layers. All the ambience pls
- ship models either 3D or greenscreen pics like has been said

I could probably think of more things but I'll edit that in if it pops into my head

Since as I remember, Jessica is licenced, you should enable us to somehow export a fight to the EVE Probe, with a modest ammount of camera controls (play, pause, slow forward, slow backward, and free camera movements).

The ammount of youtube videos would skyrocket immediately (me included)! Cool

I don't belive in reincarnation I've never believed in it in my previous lives either...
