There's definitely a middle ground between carebear and "bad guy", "play as you like and don't cry about it when someone plays as they like and it conflicts with your desires" is an apt description of that middle ground. Someone who plays in the middle ground is generally reviled by carebears and often accepted or even respected by the bad guys.

I play in the middle ground, carebears hate me because I don't subscribe to their beliefs even though I share their playstyle.

I'm going to leave my industrial alt where she is, but Moon Moon's gonna play the dang game!

You sir, are on your way to winning Eve. Watchlist me, I'll do the same. My corp wouldn't be a good place for you to start, but I'll more than happily fly with you when I'm free.

FW is always a good place to look, find a corp recruiting new players and willing to train. Or join RvB if you want to just do nothing but practice combat mechanics (expect to explode a lot, so fit dirt cheap ships, myself I used 1 million isk executioners, bought 80 of them, was awesome).

I'll contact you in regards to teaching you a broad range of subject matter relating to criminal life in Eve. I'm planning on building actual classes for the material, and you might make a good guinea pig. :D

Fleet Commander Credo

Fear is the joy killer.
You are flying spaceships made of pixels that someone else actually owns.
Death is temporary.
Let go of the fear.

I will run the fleet from fights I know we cannot hope to win;
I will attack enemies I know we will crush in victory.
In between those extremes lies glory and adrenaline.

Fire on the primary.

I rarely play, but I really enjoy teaching. Watch list me.

I always start my training with maneuver and damage mechanics because it is the basis of everything.

If you haven't seen my tutorial, google "welcome to pvp, v2". It is a technical approach to the basics.
If you master that, we will be ready to go create unpleasantness when I log in.

I'm in a corp now led by students of mine from years ago. I was a responsible party in Concentrated Evil's rise to legitimacy... With its early population including many of my students ( I think I was one of the early directors, too)

I used to run a content delivery institution in Akianavas.

My game of choice is suspect baiting. I'd love to work with you and any like minded friends.

Will do! Suspect baiting sounds like fun times. Feyd's blog makes it sounds super hilarious if one has the right attitude, which I have. Reading your article now (I'm shooting to be in the 10% that understands this stuff)

Every once in a while, an excellent thread is created in C&P. This is one of them. I really enjoyed reading through this thread.

So far I've read Feyd's blog & minerbumping.com (only about 60%... lot of damn posts in there) which has been quite an education in itself.

Feyd's blog is a fantastic combination of information, humor, "HTFU", "God Wills It", "Kill-it-forward" and Jessica Alba. Just like most of EVE's "blogosphere", including MB and others, it's a good place for anyone who enjoys reading about EVE.

Posting with the main char is indeed an important detail, because otherwise, it's a mess and the residents of C&P react accordingly. In addition to posting with your main, it looks like you're going to be a very good EVE player. Pirate Welcome and Good luck Moon Moon Burdy!

PS. No offense, but your name reminds me of the corp ZooM-ZooM Co., a pirate group who are now at God knows where.

Thank you for the compliment. I'm having a great time!

PS. You have offended my e-honour. I demand satisfaction. I challenge you to a T1 frig duel.

Contact me to arrange a time and location to explode my ship as I glare in confusion and fire at some off grid asteroid while completely forgetting to launch my drones (as is the custom among my people).

Sounds great. Big smileand don't worry, we all make mistakes sometimes. I will contact you as soon as I get in-game (hopefully very soon, once the RL shenanigans and time allow me).

About the location though, you will have to visit lowsec for this duel. (Because of the peaceful things I've done down here, I can no more enter highsec with this sec. status).Blink

For the curious:

Lowsec is indeed delightful this time of year.

Azov Rassau was kind enough to meet me this morning for less than two minutes of pew pew before my lil incursus went boom. (I assure you my wife was quite proud that I made it almost two minutes. This shows improvement in 'performance'... pretty sure she was referring to pvp, not sure what else she might have meant.)

I am proud to report that I did in fact target Azov correctly and not some asteroid. Also, I launched a drone!

I did forget to overheat weapons.. baby steps. Learning to crawl. All good things.

The fight was fun, my e-honour sated, I was even given the items which failed to explode properly with the ship. Such is the stand-up generosity of Azov Rassau.

Good fella, if ya ask me.
