I joined eve online not too long ago and one of the first things I trained for and did was a corperation.

But i have no idea what to do with it now that its up, can someone give me advice on management, recruiting, and how I can properly use and run a corperation to success?

You really shouldn't run your own corporation from the get go.

To be honest, if you don't know how to do these things, you are better to fold the Corp and go join some other Corps first and learn about these things and how different Corps are organised internally.

Learning from experiencing the impact of other corp structures is the best way to understand what you enjoy and don't enjoy so that when you are ready to lead a Corp, you'll know how to maximise the fun for your members.

There are a range of other skills you can learn in other Corps that will help you better lead a Corp rather than by trial and error as you go. Managing wardecs is one of those that is easer to learn from within a Corp than as a new player just starting out.

My advice

Drop corp. Join one that knows what it's doing. Because you don't and the only thing that will happen is frustration.

It might seem counter intuitive, but the other guys are all giving you the correct advice. Don't try to dive into corporation mechanics until you have more experience with the game.

"Verily, I have often laughed at the weaklings who thought themselves good because they had no claws."

One of ours, ten of theirs.

Think about what you like to do in eve.
Search for like minded people and do that thing together.

The corp rights are a bit difficult to understand, but managabel.

That is quite a question you have there. So, you wasted a bunch of skill points training for something incredibly complicated that you have no idea how to use, and then come to General Discussion (of all places) to ask how to manage, recruit and run a corporation? This isn't like teaching someone how to pilot a ship or the right circumstances to use a MJD or something like that. It's sort of like the difference between asking, "how do I drive a car?" and "how does one successfully establish and run a countries government?"

This really is one of the dumbest, most lazy posts I've ever seen.

I do not like the men on this spaceship. They are uncouth and fail to appreciate my better qualities. I have something of value to contribute to this mission if only they would realize it. - Bill Frug

This is generally bad idea. However when I made Armil, I could not even fly a destroyer yet, so it's possible. You will need few things though.

-Friends and people who are willing to help you.
-Recruitment method that is both effective and can dodge targeted awoxing.
-Will to adapt to different obstacles that you face in eve, was it then other players or game mechanics.
-mentality to not give up despite whatever is going on.
-Hours of devouring eve uni wiki pages.
-Ability to laugh at losses, no matter how disasterous.
-Visit to low sec as early as possible. (Chance to find nice friends.)
-These wonderful forum people here advising you.

And yes, you need a goal. Something to aim for. A plan. You can change it later, but always have plan.

Also remember that scamming, awoxing and things that would definitely count as griefing in other MMOs are not only acceptable, but part of eve and the harsh universe we are part of. It is what makes this game at the same time so thrilling and exciting, but also true sandbox. Be aware of these dangers and never trust anyone completely.

yeap i seen many people creating corp thinking that is going to be succesfully just because it has a good name. I think you need to join other corp first and observer how things are manage. THere are corp more serious than other and thats the beauty of this game, you can have fun in 5 man corp , or 100+. But again if you are ceo and want a succesfull corp you'll be spending a lot of time organizing and stuff which you have to balance with the activities that you like. Be mindful of your roles. Also i recommend having a vision or a goal, that helps too, even if is not to serious is good to know what the corp if doing.

Have fun and enjoy new eden.

I'll echo what the lads are saying, fold the Corp , join an established player one and learn from the experience of other before you start trying to build one of your own,

eve is a complex game with a lot of nuanced and particular things and activities you really should be aware of before you even think of taking people on ,

for instance: one of the above comments If taken on-board would spell disaster for your fledgling corporation, if you haven't figured out which one immediately and why then it's a good indication that you shouldn't have a Corp of your own yet.

Welcome aboard mate.

Also, it's worth noting that the New Citizens questions and answers subforum is probably where you should be asking questions like this, this is under the proverbial bridge whereas trolling is explicitly forbidden over there.

Being in Eve for such a short time and asking for help on running a corp. from the beginning is NOT a very good way at all.

As others have said, fold or disband your corp, join one that might be of interests to you, mining, indy nulsec pvp whatever. You'll find out just how really difficult it is to run a corp. WITHOUT experience from being in other player runned corps. So take the advice and fold/disband and join a corp. and then gain experiences over time, I did.

If you are very attached to the corp name just train an alt to hold CEO for you while you learn the ropes in a more established corp. Then it will be waiting for you if you wish to return (or can serve as a nice holding place when you are between corps).

"I have no idea what I'm doing, so join my corp!"

Doesn't really work for recruitment.

People want competent leaders that know what they are doing, and can provide continuous content and benefits.

What can you provide?

While no one is giving you real advice, I'd say stay in your one player corp to avoid the dumb taxes from npc/player set corps until you either figure out what to do or take some other path.

Recruiting can be really hard without building a network of contacts first. Finding trustworthy people in Eve isn't that hard, but it is really important. There are a lot of people in this game that would come into your corp, play nice, and then just take everything. But there are many more that aren't like that at all -- see, figuring out how to read people in this game takes time, which is why I suggest joining a corp before starting one.

If you like mining - look for a mining corporation. If you like Pvp I suggest trying low sec corps before jumping into 0.0 space alliances.

Either way, good luck and welcome to a great pastime!

Misspells corporation, on a forum with spell check no less.
Character name possibly a misspelling of Zeus.
Day 1 corp.
Corp name missing an apostrophe, but includes an unnecessary period.
Has a jacked up old man Amarr portrait making a goofy face.

Pretty sure this is some sort of joke post, or an experiment to see how many wardecs can be obtained.
