So is CCP meant to guess what the protest is about?

I will suppress my first instinct to throw stones (why is the human brain petty like that?) and instead I will wish you good luck.

CCP needs to get on and add chocolate bar Boosters already. +22% to signature radius.

Goons would love that.

Step away from EVE for a week?

~Protest~

Go to Jita, orbit and shoot monument for a week. (Go lazors) Have a script stating your reasons for your "protest" in local. Put it into you bios.

Going offline and refusing to discuss what your upset about it the exact opposite of getting your complaints aired to the public. Who may support your cause and join you...

Is it something in game or is it something about those strikes going on in iceland?

So I'm not trying to tell here but....
It you don't log in for a week, you put less strain on the server, saving electricity. Your protest actually saves them money. Not going to have any effect. Unsub for a month, MAY get their attention, but probably not for less than 200 accounts.
Am curious though what this is all about. You can't give an analogy or a generalized idea?

You can pick your friends and you can pick your nose but you can't pick your friends nose. Unless you podded them...and collected their corpse.

This, or a PR stunt. There's a blog or something comming, and they're building anticipation.

I don't judge people by their race, religion, color, size, age, gender, or ethnicity. I judge them by their grammar, spelling, syntax, punctuation, clarity of expression, and logical consistency.

All the best with it too. Always have to respect people who do something aside from talking about an issue.

Yeah, but if you want people to support you, you should probably at least tell them the issue.

Otherwise I shrug and go "Meh, whatevers", and ignore it, which I am guessing is pretty much the opposite of what they were hoping to accomplish.

Unless this is a troll, in which case...vOv whatevers.

If it was truly a silent protest, no one would be reading this thread. Because silent means silent, not shout about how silent you are.

This is the new "Extremely Silent Protest", where you don't tell anyone beforehand what you're silently protesting against.

"Verily, I have often laughed at the weaklings who thought themselves good because they had no claws."

But as much as we all like to proclaim otherwise, the human race is a bunch of petty, laugh at a funeral, mock the different monkeys who can't wait to fling our feces at others, as long as none of it will blow back on us.

Edit: Hmm. My misanthropy seems to be showing again.

You're not supposed to read it out loud. It's still silent if you read quietly to yourself. :)

It should be called the "Ex-wife style of protest". I say that because that's where i got most of my experience with someone being ticked off at me but refusing to tell me why because "you should just know" Cool .

As we are not allowed to discuss policies and politics via forums, we cannot state why this is going to happen. Hopefully within the forthcoming period, our speaker will address the issue via channels which will be considered legitimate.

Sounds to me like none of you actually know what you're protesting and are being manipulated, but kudos to your "speaker" for so skillfully wrangling you all into carrying out his plans.

Now, that's playing EVE well.

I have a sister who is 16,

Once I accidently forgot that she had some big project thing she was doing, even now I can't remember what it was but it was important to her and and I had promised to do something to help her out on it. But alas. I forget.

She didn't talk to me for two weeks and wouldn't tell me why she wasn't talking to me.

When she finally did tell me, it was like. You could have told me the day after and I could have fixed it.

What I'm trying to get at here. Is that if you don't tell people. They can't fix the problem.

And also your acting like a 16 year old girl.

Grow up.

If it isn't too late, I'd like to humbly suggest you add a hunger strike component to your protest.

Hunger strikes really get people's attention, sometimes even press coverage! If you're going to silently protest something ambiguous, you should definitely go big so that CCP takes whatever it is seriously.
