Hi,
I am new to Trading, so should I start to buy ship gears or what?

Any suggestions would be great!

Thanks,

Definitely, yes!

The key is to buy low and sell high. Sometimes that means buying low at one location and selling higher at another location, but, perhaps more commonly for those who claim to be traders, it can also mean buying low (with standing buy orders) and selling high (with standing sell orders) at the same location, perhaps at different times or perhaps at the same time.

Here's a link to a Market Discussions FAQ that, amongst other things, describes some different styles of trade, one or more of which might suit you.: <https://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Market_Discussions_FAQ>.

Eve's economy has the very definition of trading, with added utility, not the leveraged momos past the Eve Gate, so research a little and head out there. Smile

To better understand the dynamics of segments like ship hulls and ship modules, it is preferable to gain either combat, or exploration experience alongside your trading activities.

On the very high level, the metagame may change by the week along with demand, but a Vexor stays the same. Until it doesn't. Smile

Haha! Surely people graduate past this phase as soon as possible. 0.01-isking is infuriating enough for your sell orders but station-trading and doubling the time it takes... No thanks Jeff

This. Find out what people need and where they need it. And why.

Trading isn't just about selling high and buying low. It's about volume and movement. Items with only a little profit will often be better money makers than items with alot of profit, because they're traded in much larger quantities and sell much faster. Try to trade in items that are needed often. Stay away from unstable items with an unusually high margin.

Also, you will have to choose if you're gonna trade between 2 hubs or trade in 1 station. The former will expose you to risk as you haul items, atleast untill you are profitable enough to pay for couriers. The latter has no risk of losing a ship, but can degenerate into asinine bidding wars and margins are alot lower while volume is alot higher.

If you go station trading, try to avoid the pitfall that is 0.01-ISK'ing. It's a waste of time and it's a fallacy to assume you'd "ruin the market", it's better to make 10% profit today and use that money to reinvest then to make 40% profit over the course of a week, battling another 0.01-ISK'er.

Here's something that can get you started.

The module "Modal Light Neutron Particle Accelerator I" is mostly created by mission runners looting them from NPC wrecks, and is mostly used by low-skilled PVPers, and also by faction warfare pilots.

You might try buying them in/near Apanake or Simela (two systems popular with mission runners) and selling them in major trade hubs. Bonus points if you buy them on weekend evenings US time (when the most missions are being run).

Of course do your own research first.

How much capital do you have to invest into trading? Knowing this will allow people to assist you more because it varies greatly depending on how much isk you ahve to invest

Magic Crystal Balls

In conjunction with inflation.

It went from 250000 isk to very high prices. Prices will still get higher as they'll get scarcier. When you own the majority of any available goods; you get to set the price!

The point of them not being an usable/useful item is totally moot. When you got something for free/cheap and you can sell it for 25 mil. ISK, what do you do?

Profit.

How powerful will you be?

(Your Wizard Level equals the number of Magic Crystal Balls you own)

Wizard Level: 1337

Just say no to CODE market recommendations

Also the market changes for all items. Megacyte and Zydrine were riding high and were the "it" item for a month, but reality came knocking and it took a tumble back to earth.

If there was a best trade good, it wouldn't be best for long as everyone would try to trade it

Ammo and Drones, those are abc's for begginers. Then you would look at more variants.
