over the module instead of the current "states" of unlit green light, lit green light and flashing green light for overheating. can it just be changed to some other version involving red and green? Under dynamic stress fighting 10v1 im messing up my overheating a lot these days.

is it blinking green meaning its going into overheat or coming out?! 1?!!? oh fuk its burnt!

changing the colors here will really help stressing solo pvpers.

Not necessary. Train Thermodynamics up more and you can overheat longer, allowing you to figure out what the various states are.

Generally though, if the green light is on whike the module is active, it's overheated.

thermo V and if it is about to enter overheat it blinks green (while the module is currently running), or if it is about to stop overheating it blinks green (while the module is running).

these are two very different states and the only way for me to get around this to be safe is to shut the module off completely and restart it they way i want to.

this bit of confusion can be solved with a complementary color

Would appreciate yellow lighted ring for over heated, green for normal, red for stopping cycling and flashing yellow red for decycling while overheated.

That said, probably a little thing, for that roundup sticky.

i never saw this as too much of a problem, but now that you mention it.... i, too turn modules off from time to time, just to be on the safe side.

would help quite a bit in the heat of battle, also shouldn't require much dev time... +1

PS: but please make sure it's not making things worse for ppl with color vision deficiency. Maybe also add different blinking patterns or something alike.

this sounds like poor piloting

and regardless red should not be used to indicate anything other than damage

but maybe a transparent heat symble on the icon itself to show its heated (this may help with the colorblind)

Ever since I burned out an deadspace invuln on an incursion boat because I turned it one by clicking the green part of the icon, I always though the overloading effect could be a bit more visible...

I agree that the UI could be better in this regard.

CCP should add more NPC 0.0 space to open it up and liven things up: the Stepping Stones project.
