many people make the mistake of thinking that bigger ships are better. you have to think abut what type of engamente you are getting into. Like i never seen a Solo BS fight. But that does not mean they are useless. it all depensd on the type of engagement.

That was my first thought too.

Personally I would've jumped straight to a dread or super after mastering frigates.

To elaborate.

Ive been doing solo pvp for about two years now. I know full well what kind of fights im looking for in any given ship... to a point.

The navy Armageddon, I had my eyes on a rupture gang, and was moving to intercept when I got caught by a frigate gang..

With the Navy Apoc, I fit to fight frigates in scram range, and got caught by some hard tackle and kite frigates.

Lack of knowing what I wanted to fight didn't get me killed.

Lack of experience with large ships did. I didn't know how local would respond to something like that.

I did not die because I "thought bigger Is surely better"

I have to say, At least I have the courage to try solo battleships. :)

... and again, my kb is littered with failed experiments of ships larger than frigates. But its how I learn. By doing.

There is only so much reading or watching vids can teach you.
And only so far your in game skills will take you.

The essential parts of getting good at solo in any class of ship are hard earned and taken from the reaper.
There is no other way.

indeed. :) that's the plan.. although ive scrapped the pulse laser reliant versions. May go for Armageddon next.
