Hi,

I've read several posts about those kind of issues but none of the solutions i've found worked in my case: running as admin, clearing the cashe, reparing the client (..) none of those worked.

The issue i'm having is that when i start the launcher the long bar located down stay in grey and doesn't load, therefore, the button Play would still be grey too.

Usually when I play home i use an ethernet type of connection and everything works fine, but today i turned a wifi spot from my cellphone since I was in some different place, and that problem occured.

Is it related to the fact I'm using that specific cellphone connection, or is it linked to the fact i've tried to connect with a different IP knowing that the launcher already showed me the little message screen recquiring to give one of my caracter's name in order to pursue the connection, and that step works fine.

This is an issue that a lot of people have reported - I get it quite often - and I am not sure if there is a "fix" as such. It mainly seems to happen when your machine has a lot of other stuff happening, maybe because you have just switched on or you are loading other stuff at the same time. I find if I just close it, count to 10 then try again it's fine.

Also remember that (unless you need the launcher for patching) you can launch EVE from "C:\Program Files (x86)\CCP\EVE\bin\exefile.exe" (or similar, depending on your system).

One common problem is that many people have ENABLED the option to always download everything.

This can cause a long delay EVERYTIME the launcher is opened, as it has to re-check everything first.

Using the DEFAULT download-on-demand (DoD) is recommended. If the download-everything option is used, it only needs to be used once, then it can be set back to DoD.
