TEEN

Content is generally suitable for ages 13 and up. May contain violence, suggestive themes, crude humor, minimal blood, simulated gambling and/or infrequent use of strong language.

"Infrequent use of strong language," is a sort of term that describes a chat room conversing normally without excessively using foul language.

Infrequent would also describe someone randomly saying "I'm so ******* tired of this." The person is simply expressing their dilemma aggressively, indicating they "cannot take it anymore" or "do not know any other way to continue."

When someone uses a swear word in everything they post, or just trolling in general, then a citation is in order.

EVE Online may be rated Teen, but we can all clearly acknowledge that it's NOT a game for teens. EVE attracts a generally more mature and sophisticated group of gamers.

In addition, if you simply scroll down to the bottom of this page you will see clearly that Online Interactions (i.e. chat) are not rated and therefore do not have to follow the guidelines of said rating.

It is WE, the players of EVE who determine what is acceptable in our community. That is why we have the ability to ignore people who we find offensive.

Moderators are the type of gaming Police we enjoy having around simply because they maintain order. However, Police officers need to know when to follow the law to the letter but also know when to let certain things slide.
