In-Game Events and Gatherings

WHAT: Public exploration fleet
WHEN: Friday, June 5th, 02:00
WHO: Anyone who wants to explore as a group
WHERE: Join "NGPI Pub" channel prior to the event for form-up info and voice comms

This is an idea I've been kicking around for a while in an effort to encourage exploration as a group activity. And to get some personal experience in FC'ing.

"NGPI" stands for "Not Green, Probe It", referring to the red cosmic signatures that appear in the probing window and sensor overlay. (I'm open to suggestions for a better name). An NGPI fleet operates similarly to many of the popular NPSI fleets, except we hunt primarily for loot instead of kills. That's not to say that killing isn't entirely out of the question. Combat ships would be encouraged in order to provide some backup for the hackers/gas miners, handle any combat sites, and to possibly evict (or absorb) other explorers from the sites that we find.

The fleet will be open to anyone who enjoys exploration or has an interest in learning. Cloaks are not required, but obviously highly encouraged as we venture into W-space and null. Cov ops cloaks even more so. But if you can fit a probe launcher, you're more than welcome to come along.

Form-up location is still TBD, but it will definitely be somewhere in Sinq Laison.

There were two other people that joined. We got on TS and had a nice chat while exploring one of the new Drifter wormholes. We moved on to a C3 and made some ISK off of a few relic sites before calling it a night.

All in all it was fun. Low-key, but enjoyable. I plan on hosting another one when I find the time.
