Guys, it's 2015. Everyone's playing with their mobile phone or tablet many hours a day.

On the train, during boring office meetings, while you go outdoors for a smoke, during TV commercials, in bars, restaurants, EVERWHERE!

I say it would be only natural - but also awesome! - to be able to log in to EVE from your mobile.

Say the mobile client would be limited to in-station activities (can't undock). There would still be a ton of things you could do: chat, update skill queue, corp stuff, market stuff, potentially asset management and even industry, ...!

Out of my butt I'll pull this figure: both ACU and subs would go up 30% at the very least. Seriously, there's so much potential for fun and money!

CCP do this nao! For us EVE addicts and for your own income, too.

Why would subs increase ?
This is no reason for anyone to join the game ?

That said , it would be nice to have what you request.

There is a lot of things you can already do via the web-interface (reading mail for example), and some things which you can do with 3rd-party web apps via the XML API (browisng your assets for example).

A lot more of this stuff, and also doing something (creating contracts, for example) will be possible once the CREST API is finished and we can write to it.

So yeah, it is already coming.

I had someone make me a virtual for my tablet (along with some hardware improvements.) and can play Eve on it, all though, its painful to do anything in space, I do as what would be recommend, sit around, talk, and annoy people about my skills.

Hmm... I can do all of that stuff with my Surface... You are just using the wrong device.

Sounds nice!

But not everybody has one + it doesn't fit in my pocket + I suspect a specific mobile UI would be better for a small touch screen...

No need to have CCP spend resources when it's already possible on any device. Just remote desktop in to your main computer and play to your heart's content.

No need to have CCP spend resources develop a messaging app when it's already possible on any device.

Unless you make a good one that somebody, five years later, buys for 22 billion dollars.

It's all about designing a great mobile user experience.

And besides that does your post lack any sense ...

... which means you didn't even read the initial post properly.

A certain other MMO has/had a mobile app which allowed you to use your in game chat channels. Corp(guild), private chats or other selected channels. It was really nice for keeping up with who's on and if I wanted to log in or find something else to pass the time for the evening.
