First time I have ever transfered a toon thru character baazar. For some reason I can not pay thry CC, Paypal or plex to tansfer the toon to the buyer. Petitioned 5 days ago regarding this issue and have not heard back. Problem is that the buyer is beginning to think I am running a scam and making all kinds of threats. Trying to calm him down and work it out to get this deal to go thru....blah blah.

My queston is how long does it take for CCP to reply to a petition of this nature and what are your thoughts on how I should handle this with the buyer?

He might file a petition himself. Lets see who gets a response first. :D

Well I was considering that as an option. My problem, besides the delay, is that I want to make this guy happy with the deal. Currently he is not happy due to the delay. I was considering just telling him to file a petition and be done with it, but that would leave a bad taste in his mouth and makes me fear that CCP will not research this properly and just refund his isk and leave me having to go thru the sales process again.

Sounds like this is something out of the ordinary and needs to be "investigated".
The problem is that you probably won't hear from them until that investigation is completed, which could take weeks.

See, if CCP was an online store and you ordered something that was not in stock, they would just let you wait.
After a couple of weeks you would be informed that your delivery will arrive now.
If you called any time before that to ask what's going on with your order, they would be surprised what kind of information could expect, because when your item is not available they can't tell you a delivery date and there is nothing else to tell you besides that.

The answer to your petition is not in stock!

That's not good, it's not even ok, but it seems like they get away with that somehow.
Maybe it's a cultural thing...

an option would be to buy plex off the market and use those for the transfer

Yeah as in my first post I stated I tried plex as well as the other 2 payment methods.

In order to use a PLEX from the market you must right click the PLEX and turn it into a redeemable item. Were you doing this?

I didn't know about this the first time I tried to use PLEX as a form of payment and it caused me all sorts of frustration.

Yeah, I did that with the plex.

To make this whole situation even worse, I got what must be a canned dev reply today after waiting 5 days. It is clear from reading the reply, the dev did not even read my petition or the enclosed information. Basically I got a blurb I read from the CCP web site regarding transfers and nothing specific to my problems.

This is my first experience with CCP service and as of right now I am pretty disappointed. Fact that the dev just issued a canned non-specific reply that has nothing to do with my issues is kinda burning me up. What is really pissing me off is that none of my replies to the dev have gone unanswered. Really hoping I don't have to wait 5 more
Days for another email that might very well not get
Me any closer to a solution.

Yeah that canned reply is actually kind of normal. They read the highlighted words in a sense fast then respond to you and hope that solves your problems. I imagine its from them being busy. But sometimes if that doesnt solve it just reply to it with more information to your problem or explained better. That is usually responded to faster as well then the initial blurp comeback.

Well I did outline the problem quite clearly and it's not a complicated one. Reading the first sentence of my petition would make it clear to most, I believe, that sending a canned reply would be a waste of EVERYONE'S time.

Maybe that is why this is so frustrating. Think eve is a great game. Loads Of fun. Hope customer
service Does a 180 quickly.

This is the alt to Kravos Dekkus.

Oh they escalated it!!!! They have disabled my account for an email change. Now I must provide a list of answers to prove that the account is mine. Um.... ok. Been playing for 3 years CCP! Same Payment name and now this???

I guess hindsight is 20/20. Should have just put all this on the buyer and said, "look, real sorry but its your problem now, file a petition." That would have been wrong I know so I did what was seemingly required. I am just blown away by the way this is being handled.

If Eve was not so damn enjoyable I would just cancel my accounts and move to a different game.

We apologize for the amount of time that might pass before we get to a petition at the moment. Crucible has resulted in a lot more activity and our petition queues are busy in the extreme. Game masters are working working round the clock to get every petition answered as quickly as possible, but at the moment we are experiencing significant delays.

The oldest petition in our Game Play queue that has not received any reply yet was filed on 2011.11.30 03:08
The oldest petition in our Billing queue that has not received any reply yet was filed on 2011.12.02 07:47
We currently have 5066 petitions in our queues that are awaiting an answer from a GM.

These numbers are a snapshot taken at the time of me posting this reply.

Note that not all petitions are in those two queues, but those are the most common ones. Also, some petitions may be answered sooner then others, depending on the type of case (for example, a full hacking case investigation may take significant time and is handled in a special queue not mentioned here).

We are working as hard as we can and we apologize for any delays.

I could be wrong, but it sounds like you are no longer using the email address they had on file for you and were sending information to.

Requesting confirmation is not really out of line in a situation like this, considering the various games that are played when accounts are hacked or a RMT/bot jockey character is being flipped.

Far better to have this than someone sell your account out from under you some day... and it is always wise before you buy/sell a character to make sure that all of your account information is up to date, including the contact email.

At the moment our oldest unanswered petition in the game related queue (that is, not billing/account or technical related stuff, nor any special cases) is a little under 2 days old.
