while complete newtonian physics and Dv budgets may be a bit (and by a bit I mean a lot) to ask, making the game work and feel more like space is do-able with the current mechanics.

1- Greatly increase the maximum speed of all ships, and greatly reduce the acceleration of all ships, right now some ships in this game can reach something absurd like 600m/s^2 with a max speed of only a couple kips (Km/s)

what if instead all ships maxed out at 10km/s but only accelerated in the realm of 2-4gs (which is actually absurd for any actual foreseeable spacecraft)

so why use smaller ships? what if warp drives cost exponentially more energy for linear increase in size.

2- MWDs become velocity multipliers instead of bigger boosters, a warp drive would have no effect on a vessel's velocity, it just compresses space in front of you to travel through more space in less time relative to the space around you. for example with a standard 5x MWD if you were traveling at 500m/s and accelerating 20m/s^2 the instant you activate you MWD you're now going 2.5 kips and accelerating at 100m/s^2 relative to the grid

3- UI improvements; can we get some gawt damn bearing indicators, grid compasses (via navball perhaps), and thrust sliders?

sincerely, a man who really just wants this game to be kerbal PVP program

Why? We have a perfectly working lore explanation for why the drives work like they do. Our 'Thrusters' can't be pure rocket drives since most ships would spin uncontrollably otherwise so the warp fields interaction with normal space obviously has something to do with the drive also, and the game is mostly balanced.

Additionally there is no such thing as ship facing in EVE, it's purely a client side fabrication. Your ships only have velocity and size, not facing.

well yes most the engine bells (which BTW I'd like to see more engine bells) in this game a very poorly placed, namely the Slasher.

regardless I'd still like to see indicators onto what my velocity vector is and the velocity vector of other ships. this would also aid in Fleet command.
