If you make it a thing, I would recommend a no ecm rule. ECM is the ultimate 1v1 fun sponge.

What about ECM drones? They kinda suck, and far less OP than the jamtastic jamboree of jamminess that some folks love.
Also. I may be interested in participating in future events, as it looks like a lot of fun and a great excuse to lose a ship without having to feel guilty about it showing up on the alliance board.
In fact, I'd feel rather smug when it comes down to it.

All is fair in love and Thunderdome. Having said that, I could see future "specialty" matches with restrictions in place. No EWar, no cap warfare, no drones, no short-range weapons, etc. (Only one restriction at a time mind you, too many limitations spoil the fun.)

I have to say that thinking about this has pushed me to consider some downright unusual builds, ones that in any other circumstance would be borderline failfit. A few of them I can almost guarantee would lose, but they would lose in such comedic fashion that it would be well worth the loss. It's interesting what you can get a ship to do when you don't necessarily* have to worry about tackling your opponent.


*Some fits may still rely on webs and scrams for the benefits to application, but still.

Upon reflection, this is C&P and it is THUNDERDOME, so I'm big enough to say my 'no ECM' was NOT a good idea. I was wrong and you guys are right.

Still vulnerable to ECM and damps. If you can't target, you can't fight. But if your opponent lacks any EWar...yeah, that'd be nasty.
