Hello again tenacious testers!

In the upcoming Carnyx release we will be releasing the next step in our ongoing Sovereignty work, where Station services will be enabled/disabled using the new Entosis mechanics.

As such, we've got a special setup for you all on Singularity, to make it easy to test these out!

Test Wars Episode IV: Alliance A vs Alliance B

We've set up two test alliances each with three systems and three stations in Fountain, conveniently set up with 3 NPC null systems separating them.

As of today, we're accepting any pilots or existing corporations to come join the test war!

Systems

Rules:

 • The moveme command will now allow pilots to move to YZ-LQL, a NPC null system equidistant from each Alliance's space.
 • Combat is only permitted within the 6 alliance owned systems, all other systems follow the normal Singularity rules (Combat only upon consent)
 • Remember what the test server is for! By all means test out strategies and metas, but this should all be in the name of testing the functionality of the station services. As always, remember Wheatons Law
 • No SBUs, no attacking the TCUs or Ihubs, no trying to flip stations, this is all about Station Services and the Entosis link.

Information

Alliance: Alliance A
Executor: Alliance A Corporation
Systems: 38IA-E, G-UTHL, LIWW-P

Alliance: Alliance B
Executor: Alliance B Corporation
Systems: I-CUVX, J-RQMF, 14YI-D

Neutral Systems: A-1CON, YZ-LQL, 75FA-Z

How to Join

As a pilot:
- Apply to either executor corp

As a corp
- Have your CEO apply to join either Alliance
OR
- If the above is not possible in a short space of time, send a mail to 'CCP Lebowski' in game, and I'll attempt to expediate the transfer.

Notes/FAQ
 • Station Services now have unique locations for each type of station.
 • The UI now turns red when a service is disabled, and indicates the direction of capture progress on the structure.
 • The capture UI now only requires one rotation to enable/disable a station service
 • Entosis UI is now active on all services.
 • This test will be ongoing until the release of Carnyx
 • You don't have to be in one of the two alliances to get involved, players should feel free to come along regardless of your corporate affiliation.

Known Issues
 • Losing target lock through jamming does not end the entosis modules effects.
 • The Entosis graphical effect doesn't stop when module is out of range.

That's all folks! We encourage you to join up and come test out what life will be like in the new world of Entosis Sovereignty! Feel free to leave us any feedback here & submit bug reports for any issues you find.

Since we're talking station services....

There should be concequences when station services are incapped. If you cap a station service but the minute you leave system the owner undocks triage carriers and reps it back to full, there is a lack of incentive for the attacker and consequence for the defender.

So...if you cap a service, the owner shouldn't be allowed to repair that service for 24 hours. Provides both incentive and consequence.

think you need to reread the old dev blogs the station services will not be repped in the traditional way but by the entosis link so given the - bonus to the carrier this would be impractical and yes i know he said the - bonus is not enabled yet but for now we should treat it as if it is so we don't get false succeed from cap blobs

but all that is beside the point the test is to try out tactics on holding the entosis link on long enough to disable or enable the service

they keep saying capture the flag but id say its more like king of the hill if you can hold your position on the top then you win

*) Once activated, the beam from a T1 E-Link can be stretched at will, beyond the stated range.

*) A trollceptor caught in the act of performing an entorcism (encision?) is at first blush no match for T2 Precision Cruise Missiles from a Golem.

*) Alliance A is clearly the superior choice for all your E-Link playtesting needs! Cool

That would be interesting... but... spoilers of a major kind perhaps?

Cloaking is the closest thing to a "Pause Game" button one can get while in space.

Hey folks, Singularity has now been updated so that the capture UI is applied to every station service, and the services themselves have been moved slightly to make them easier to distinguish. Both the UI and the locations of the services are subject to change, feedback welcome!

Correct, though capture stops when you move out of range so this isn't too useful Smile

Thanks for all the testing so far everyone!

I still hope this is a bug, so If i see someone with a beam still pointing to a service I know he is using T2 and not buggy t1?

Yes, I agree. The module should be deactivated when out of range and the visual animation should stop. I am pretty sure that is the way for all other modules and the entosis link should be like all others.

Ah apologies, I misread the original point. The module remains active, but I believe the graphical effect should cease when the module stops affecting the station service. We're tracking this issue internally, and I'll add it to the OP.

may i suggest changing the color/animation for capture that doesn't actually count ?

I did some testing this weekend, not sure if there's been an update today...
T1 Entosis Link
I went out of locking range in an Inty, to about 45 km from station, and then came back in range and locked. Once locked, the Link showed as still attacking the structure (module icon was under the locked service). I don't think it worked though, but can't be sure because the service could have already been disabled.

When in space, could not tell what services were disabled. Had to dock in it to check.
Neither the Entosis description, nor the in game notifications, tell you anything about what ship functions will be disabled when the module is in use. The timers gave no indication either. Didn't say why I couldn't warp, which would be nice.

Question for CCP: Is it intended game design to prevent people from warping even though they are out of Entosis/Lock range? I got about 400km away and still was affected. (Just curious.)

Honestly, I had a lot of scenarios I wanted to test but got bored to tears. Is there any way for you to have another station that takes a lot less time so that we can work through different combinations of scenarios without wanting to kill ourselves?

Maybe it would be better for us to have a list of scenarios that we've checked along with the statuses for each? SO... If you guys would be so kind, please add/update these as you test or think of new ones!

Test Scenarios - Results:

 1. Staying in range - Worked
 2. Leaving targeting/Entosis range during warmup - For T1, went 10-15km out of range for both, came back in, targeted service again and Link showed as still active on service but Entosis module deactivated itself instead of staying on for the second cycle
 3. Leaving targeting/Entosis range second cycle -
 4. Leaving targeting/Entosis range second cycle (Extreme) - For T1, went to 375km and returned/targeted before Entosis cycle ended and Link did NOT show as still active on service and Entosis module deactivated itself instead of staying on for the second cycle
 5. Leaving targeting/Entosis range second cycle (Extreme) -
 6. MJD -
 7. Fleet warp -
 8. Trying to cloak when EL is in/out of ELmodule/ShipTargetting range -
 9. Logout safely button (through escape button) -
 10. Closing Eve -
 11. Pulling Ethernet plug ;) -

 12. Hostile / Remote / Local versions of the following:
 13. Sensor targeting range before and after EL is turned on -
 14. ECM jamming? ECM Drones -
 15. ECM Burst/Breaker -
 16. Targeting range dampening before and after EL is turned on, with drones too -
 17. Remote sensor boosting targeting range before and after EL is turned on, with drones too -
 18. Target painting, drones too -

My short feedback from today:

- every station service has now their own target circle but they are to close to each other when watching from 250 km (T2 Link distance)
- Status of the station services still not visible from space

I don't know if I am wasting my time turning something on or off. Maybe simply take the existing icon for the service and add a slash ( / ) through it to indicate it is off.

Cloaking is the closest thing to a "Pause Game" button one can get while in space.

Ah, now you use the full shape of the station for the position of the station service icons.
I checked gallente and amarr stations and it looks great. Thanks.

Thanks for all the feedback so far everyone, a fair few updates have hit Singularity today addressing a lot of concerns, please try out the process again and let us know what you think.

The main changes are as follows:

 • Station Services now have unique locations for each type of station.
 • The UI now turns red when a service is disabled, and indicates the direction of capture progress on the structure.
 • The capture UI now only requires one rotation to enable/disable a station service

We're now much closer to our final version of this for Carnyx, barring a few remaining issues that should be ironed out this week.

Please Add time to incap to station service show info.

Also mass addition with active link doesn't seem to be working.

Edit: Can service be pre 'repped'? Does service have 0-100% where 0 = incapped or is it tug of war where 50% is normal? Owners can pre rep to 100% essentially doubling attacker incap time.
